Hello everyone,

I've started developing a mac tracking app for anime and manga. It will have both anime and manga scrobbling, sync with MAL, HummingBird and Plex, anime season and load of other features.

MAP API being very outdated and other fan made solutions didn't really impress me, so I've decided to make my own JSON API similar to now dead MyAnimeList Unofficial API. If all works well, I'll probably make it open for everyone to use instead of setting up your own server and of course having super awesome backend :)

Anyways for starters wanted to confirm the current situation with scraping. As I understood I need to get whitelisted and will be provided with custom user-agent so that I can scrape MAL without problems?
