I also find the setting/atmosphere really cool. The level/dungeon design wasn't that great but still better than persona, specially 3 (tartarus...) There's literally no reason to call it's gameplay worse, unless you count the shcool part as "gameplay" Yeah there's not a big focus on plot and characters (sadly because I like them) but mainline SMT has never been about that, it actually has more focus on characters than the rest of them. Better stay away from mainline if that's what you care about, some of the other games in the franchise have focus on characters like Devil Survivor and Devil Digital Saga (it has some of the best atlus characters) |

| Persona 3 FES It was the first video game to give me depression. It was the first Atlus game I played. It was the game that got me into SMT. I consider it the best video game story. |
