In the mean time, let's play a game, a trivia game at that.
First person to answer five of these questions correctly gets a get-outta-lynch-free card:

1. Radio City, in New York City, is part of what center?
2. Where was the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai" filmed?
3. To "yammer" is to do what?
4. Every state, and the District of Columbia, have at least how many electoral votes?
5. Is a whaleshark a whale, or a shark?
6. What city is capital of Kentucky?
7. Who was noted for painting 318 covers of the Saturday Evening Post?
8. Isle Royale is located in which one of the five Great Lakes?
9. What is a "Rhode Island Red"?
10. What is the full name of the food company known generally as "A&P"?

Let's see if you can answer 5/10, then we'll move onto the next batch.

Also Xanic seemed to break down under pressure. Though if she is scummy as her play style I don't really know how to read that. It seems more of a town liability and a mafia advantage. I guess this can work if we have legit investigation roles (no insane santa, detectives, etc.) I'm not reading any town tells from her at all.

you guys seriously can't pick up hints from me at all ;_;

I think xanic's a dude.

I do. I've seen last minute lynchs get screwed up because someone used the wrong gender pronoun. It's become a standard in official forum mafia sites that a pronoun be given under your name.

Okay if only one santa outted I might have thought of a good strategy.

Agree on one person who you guys want to investigate on. Everyone will be on the role investigated, including the lookout. Doctor, be on whoever you think is the most clear. I THINK THAT THE COPS CAN INVESTIGATE THEMSELF

Still doesn't solve today's lynch but this can be for tonight.

It's still a sound strategy to clear cops even though one of the cops will not be able to investigate them self, 3/4 is 75% which is a good percentage of possible clear cop. It's much better than cops claiming and having clears for the mafia.

Dang, Zural, somebody's excellent at trivia! I'm glad I'm in a game with a bunch of people that know a bunch of random stuff!

As promised, here are the answers:

1. President Woodrow Wilson.
2. The Australian Dollar, recently worth about 82 cents in U.S. money.
3. No. Storms have wind speeds of 55 to 63 miles an hour; gale winds are 39 to 46 miles an hour.
4. The South won the December 13, 1862 battle.
5. Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Richmond! (Staten Island).
6. Eighteen in the United States, but apparently 30 in some other countries.
7. Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky indeed. Bonus points can sway votes!
8. A Curling Stone.
9. A heavily populated urban area that includes a number of cities.
10. It is a triangular sail ahead of the foremast.

I believe you are tied with Smurph for seven out of ten.

The reason was more personal, actually. It was only day one and both X and Grave were tied, and at that time it seemed I was among the few online. They were my friends so I did not want to lynch them, especially since X hadn't had the chance to put forth his defence. Preferably, I would like to start serious voting today. And as I said, friends or not, when there were leads that might show them the culprits, I would go against them. But first day, there was basically no lead.

Of course now that you point it out, it was probably better to vote xanic... I guess. But at that time, again, I wanted Xanic to have the chance to defend himself.

Lynch: Smurphinator
I wanna see you squirm a little :p

I don't buy this being a placeholder vote. I already had one vote against me, so if she had been trying just to put a vote out there, she would have done it to someone who didn't have one already to even things out. Skewing the votes as a placeholder makes no sense.

Xanic changes his vote pretty randomly. Originally, he and Grave both had the same random lynch choice, but then he votes Grave upon very slight provocation. This could either be a sign of him being a sheep, but since he put in one of the first lynches, this seems unlikely, and leads me more to think he was trying to overshadow the fact that his and Grave's lynches previously aligned.

vote lynch: DatNeonPanda

^ that's your 1st scummy mafia right there!

Grave starts it after she gets online. Seems pretty reasonable she would vote for him, given that she was accused on the first day. May have been a bit defensive, but, eh... I'm sure some of the "cops" followed that request, part of the reason for my ambivalence.

Let's give more options then.

Since Xanic had the aforementioned weird voting going on earlier, it was likely that this vote was to pressure Xanic, especially since it didn't actually change the fact that it still left x_at_home and Grave tied.

Wait, now you're putting xanic into the list for God knows what reason. If I vote you with Grave, you will just change your vote to her again and it's a tie.

Zurel fails to realize Panda's previously mentioned motives since they weren't super obvious. I don't think he was doing it to be scummy.

Why don't we do this?

And then Karrote comes on last minute and puts in the extra vote to lynch Panda. Which seems pretty sketchy.

Verdict: I'm ambivalent on Grave. On the one hand, her hints seem pretty well placed, and her original motives for getting Panda not too out of place either, but it was exact opposite of what I thought of her coming in this phase. Karrote seems fishy for jumping in like that, and Xanic's weird vote change makes me uneasy, since he never gave a reason or foreshadowed he was going to do either vote. Don't quote me on anything, though, since I'm terrible at analysis. I just figured I should put in my two cents since the thread has been awfully quiet aside from the saturation of Lucian's posts.

That was your reason? Talk about gut-feel. lol. That's a pretty good catch. I've been in too many games with Day1 joke votes to notice them anymore.

So much for sleeping, huh?

You kidding? The thread just got active. I usually say I'm going to bed long before I actually go to bed. How about: soon I will go to bed. There.

What if you are the lazy santa? Or had someone already deduced one of the claimers as lazy? I read all the posts, but I cannot say I remember everything.

One question for you Zurel, why did you vote for NeonPanda day one?

I asked him to in exchange for removing my vote on x_at_home. We were planning on tying the votes between me and Panda (I thought panda was scum and he would react in a certain way to being up for lynching). I didn't think anyone else was online to vote.

Here, I'll leave this thread with a question:
If you could commission any expert craftsman or carpenter to build one piece of furniture in your home, what would it be and why?

I always wanted an oak, four-poster bed. Maybe then I'll actually go to sleep.
