| Hey there everyone! I'm an aspiring manga artist. I've been drawing for about 4 years now, and I'd love to get feedback and advice so I can keep improving! A lot of my art is fanart right now, but I plan on drawing more original stuff soon! I'm going to start with some of my older art... | I like your drawings, and it's cool seeing how you improved. But I don't really like the picture with the girl in the water. I think the main issue is that the water just looks kind of lifeless. Water distorts light, and I don't really see that in the picture. The water has different shades, but they don't really look normal in comparison to real water. Especially since the girl is producing ripples in the water and that should change the way the light is reflected. And also since water distorts light, the images of the fish, sea turtle, and the girl's hands and legs probably shouldn't be quite as clear as they are. Also I don't really think it's possible for someone to float like that. Usually part of the middle of the body gets submerged, at least a little bit. If it is that way in the picture, it's not very obvious. And I think the shirt is supposed to be see-through, but if that's the case, I should be able to see the top of her pants under her shirt. It doesn't really look that way though, so it looks a bit unnatural. That's just what I noticed. |
