How long does an anime have to capture your interest?

I was wondering how long you guys usually watch an anime before deciding it's too boring or not for you etc. and drop it. I realize that it depends on the length of the anime, since giving a 64 episode anime 3 episodes simply isn't enough time to properly get a feel for it. When or how do you decide it's time to drop it?

6 episodes or when it's shit and I notice it has no potential to become better.

I watch until I see lolis. Then I get my lube proceed to watch more closely, possibly dropping it.

Airing shows have the "three-episode" rule for me, and I put on hold shows that are finished whenever they get too boring for me. Or I fast forward to 2.0 speed. Lately, I had put Shinsekai yori on-hold on Episode 8.

more experience, so the good stuff seem even better in comparison; plus that sometimes a show can still surprise you
also like karazumi said, its easier to do when you have the power to speed up shows; sometimes, all a show needs is a boost in speed

I never drop any shows .
There's a reason why I start an anime, because it interests me , and it could always get better .
In "Seikon no Qwaser"'s case I decided to finish it even though I had a REALLY hard time getting through it.
Ended up being on of the worst anime Ive seen 3/10.

I just dont like dropping shows, and never will.

Yeah and in Seikon's case it wasnt even slow, it was just extremely dull and boring.
The boob sucking got old after 5 episodes.
And dont even get me started on the borderline hentai stuff ...

5 episodes if it's a seasonal anime that is 11-26 episodes long.

26 episodes if it's an anime with more than 100 episodes. Bleach took 20 episodes to capture my interest.

it depends on wherever the anime have potential or not. if i see nothing to continue watching then i just dropped it or watch an episode if have nothing to do.

Compared to most ecchi/boob animes that I've seen, Qwaser had a decent action, story, and what is more important is that it had decent and likable character, Sasha.

Borderline hentai stuff ?! That makes the anime even better.

I don't drop shows, I only have them on hold. The only show I consider been dropped is No Game No Life after 6 episodes because it was bad, but I do think I'm going to watch it again some time. I usually know what is good and what is bad and if I chose bad I'm going all the way through it, just like a movie, you could leave the cinema, but it's on rare occasions, you for the most part watch it all.
