| On episode 3 and it's really boring for me. The animation is horrible (in my opinion). I hate the random backgrounds and weird artsy shots that seem so out of place and done for the sake of being unique, rather than for actual effect. And the character designs aren't appealing to me at all. Very bland and look outdated. Furthermore, in my opinion, the story isn't very interesting so far. Given my personal opinion above ^^ should I drop it now or does it get better? I mean, I don't absolutely LOATHE it. But as of now I'm feeling "meh" about it, and feeling as if it's a waste of my time to keep watching. Sorry if anyone is offended by what I've said. Please keep in mind that it's my own opinion which may differ from your own. |

Except that so many people recommended it to me and I like romance stories so I decided to give it a go despite hating Shaft's stupid random art style that makes no sense and every time those damn head tilts which makes me want to tie a rope round their neck and hang them with their head in that position... Err anyway, I don't think I'll waste my time on something that I don't like. I think in a series like this it's most important to be connected to the characters otherwise you won't empathise with them so there will be no point. it gets good around episode 6, imo. i find it a bit boring during first few episode too. i kept watching because at that time i bought the dvd and thought it'll be a waste to just drop it lol. turns out it was worth it and this easily became one of my favorite anime of all time. i also agree, it is important to feel connected to the character. |
