Thought I'd join the bandwagon. I'm not a very good writer (especially with punctuation) but find it fun nonetheless.
I will try to post a chapter daily.

Part 1
"No… He didn't need to die." murmured Chilli. "He wasn't going to attack."
The dead body lay softly slumped across the forest floor. He looked peaceful all bar for the lead pipe jammed through his larynx.
Keye's shuffled for a bit, "So he was he sending us an invitation to cook? What a stand up guy."
He looked down and then regretted it. Sure he'd seen been around plenty of death before but this was the first time he was the cause of it. His hands where meant to save lives, not end them. At least his medical experience will give him an edge. The sourness in his mouth felt just about right. His compass had risen by 12.04%. He assumed that the more people kill, the more it will rise. The higher the target, the higher the score.
He sighed. "Look, I'm not going to risk my life over guy carrying machete covered in tomato sauce. I'm going to make it off this Island one way or another. If you want to stay with me that's up to you."
Chilli muttered under his breath not loud enough for Keye's to hear."You don't know that." He could tell from from his face that he had his reasons. "C'mon let's get out of here."
Keye's nodded, relieved that he dropped the subject. He didn't want to kill two people tonight.
They took up camp in a damp cave. They would have to risk meeting with another player for shelter, they wouldn't survive in the open. It came to Chilli's attention that if everyone wasn't trying to murder each other that island may have been a really sweet place. The type of place that he'd like to go on a holiday too. Lush ferns and sky scrapper trees swept the earth around them.
It reminded him of the strange riddle they were all given at the beginning of the contest. Why can the human eye see more shades of green than any other colour? Thinking about it made his head hurt.
"So about that riddle huh, any ideas?" It was best to keep there mind of there intermediate surroundings. At least for tonight.
Why the fuck was he thinking about that? Keye's thought. The answer was simple. Shouldn't he be asking how he managed to murder the other contestant so easily? Is he really that naive? Before he could manage to reply with a clever quip footsteps came and they were coming fast.
"I do." The newcomer exclaimed.
Part 2
A handsome figure appeared from beneath the undercut. A cigarette hung from his mouth, ''It's because of predators. We all used to be monkeys, right. In the woods and jungles everything used to be green so in order to not get eaten we had to be able to see them in the different shades of green.''
It made sense, Chilli thought. Well at least to explain that whoever put them here was after a champion. According to the rules the only way off this Island was to get a hunter's licence. The only way to get that is to 100% on your compass. It was safe to say that they were the prey or perhaps it would be more right to say that were the predator. He checked his compass. 0%. Like it was on the day he came here. Good, he was going to keep it that way.
The stranger stood as if he was expecting an applause for his answer. None came.
''Who are you?'' Asked Keye's.
''My name is Cigrette, you see names are a great deals importance and I have had more names then anyone had right too. I've been known as Blank Slayer in the north and King Circo in the south. I've fucked queens and married whores'' The stranger echoed as he moved forward.
He wore a shark like smile. If one thing could be said about him it was that he looked dangerous. ''Hold it right there.'' Chilli felt himself saying, ''We don’t want any trouble.''
If Cigrette had heard he didn't show any signs. ''I'd like to play but I've got a bone to pick with someone else and there's nothing worse than a spoiled meal.'' He pulled out a blade and danced the tip along Chilli's neck. Thins lines of blood protruded out from where the blade tickled.
Cigarette continued. ''I'm terribly sorry. I'll be back soon, so please try to stay alive. That goes for you too pretty boy.'' He said pointing the knife at Keye's. ''Oh and if you do happen to see a lass called Taco please do say hello from me.''
With a final toothy grin he was gone.
Night fell but the cigarette's smell lingered. As cold as it was the cave was resonated a warm sense of false security. Keye's looked up at the grey ceiling. "Well that was a pleasant experience."
Part 3
Mello sat dangling her feet in the water. Not much action today she thought as she reeled in her line back in. The waters were filled with a toxic breed of puffer fish. Whoever planned this didn't expect anyone to know how to cook them. Well to be fair she did spend the first few nights huddled with stomach cramps drenched in her own spew.
Sleeping hungry didn't seem nearly as bad going to the food zones, those places were basically suicide. However if you do manage to survive, it racks up your percentage nicely. She tinkered with her compass, these types of games where just her thing.
Two voices came though from a distance. Whoever they where, they were most definitely idiots, they're going to get themselves killed and possible her along with them.
"I'd become rather attached to my face so I'd prefer not to lose it." There was a silence and then the other replied, "I mean there might be other ways to get food, no one has to die." Another moment's pause and his friend replied, "Those poison berries were sure tasty." With a sigh the person continued, "I guess we can look around."
Mello followed the voices. She could see them clearly now now, they were both around her age, one had a light frame, blond hair and looked rather cute she caught herself thinking off guard. The other one was stockier with darker complexion. She could use them.
They were about fifty meters away she estimated. She thrust her cast towards the closest one, yanking hard to the right. The sinker whirled around him. Pulling back she caused fishing line to wrap around his neck. She reeled him in a little, debilitating his ability to scream.
They were dumb struck, "What do you want?" pleaded the one who could still talk, "Anything is yours just let my him go." Yes they would do nicely. His friend was turning into a bright beetroot colour.
Mello smiled. "What I want is for the two of you to follow me."
Part 4
"What?" gasped Keye's feeling the raw contours around his throat. Who was this girl? Barefoot and armed with only a fishing rod, yet she still managed to take him down in a matter of seconds.
"I said that we're going to trap the beast." declared Mello, "And I need your help to do it."
"No, I mean the part about us being bait." said Keye's. He decided if he got the chance, he would kill her on the spot.
Mello started tying the hook back onto her rod. It was a fine craftsmanship but the true merit belonged to the line itself. 0.8 mm strand of clear silver was infused into the lining making it able to decapitate a person's head clean off. The only problem with it is that it took forever to reline.
"As I said before, he is strong but not very bright. We can calculate his moves. If he sees a neat package in front of him he's not going to hesitate to rip it open. Of course you will be the package."
"That's the part I'm worried about." Keye's said, knowing that he didn't really have a choice in the matter.
"We only have one chance and all our lives are on stake." Mello said inspecting her job done on the lining. She poked at the hooks point, causing trinkets of blood to spill out.
How very reassuring thought Keye's, it was just going from one murderous lunatic to the next. "Why not just kill us?"
"Killing you now would give me close enough to naught percent." said Mello, "And well the beast rather terrifies me."
Chilli stammered. "So you want to get off this Island too?"
Underneath his earth stained face, Keye's was sure that Chilli was blushing.
Mello shook her head. "Not particularly."
"Then why go to all this trouble?" Asked Chilli.
"Why not?" Mello replied.

Part 6
A trail of smoke whispered through the trees. The residue from the earth flayed between each delicate step. There wasn't much time left. He needed to be quick. Taco belonged to him. No one could take her away.
In the distance he could hear the splitting of wood. He would do his best to avoid the other competitors. He darted in a different direction. The forest fell silent. It was possible that the new comer could feel the change in the rhythm. If so, that meant trouble.
"You fight me."
The voice was fractured, as if he was only just getting used to the language.
The ogre of a man moved slowly towards him. His naked skin showed years of hard earned muscles that twitched with tenacity. The bald scalp stood well above that of any normal human. His eyes were fierce, filled with blood lust that Cigrette only knew too well. "You hear?" The beast mocked sounding less guttural and more human.
Cigrette glided up to the beasts face, letting out a chuckle. "You see my dear friend, I wou―"
"No words, little man." Interrupted the beast. Pivoting his foot back he swung his fist into Cigrettes mouth. The impact of the blow staggered Cigrettte into the ground.
It was unprecedented. No one had ever managed to land a clean hit on him before. Not once had someone even managed to lay a mere finger on him.
Blood poured from his mouth. He spat out a tooth. The pain was intoxicating like fine liquor. Maybe he could take a little detour, he thought feeling for the knife that hid behind his back pocket.
Cigrette rolled, only just avoiding a kick to his torso that would have very well have shattered his ribs. One more clean hit and it would be over he thought. For it's size the thing was incredibly fast. Sadly for it, not fast enough.
Part 7
Cigarette lumbered forwards with a strange tenacity. The enemies blows darted too fast and they landed too clean. By reflex he blocked, using his old orthodox boxing stance. The beasts rampage was enduring, a never ending flurry of fists without weakness or chance. He was growing weaker little by little; time was not on his side. He needed an opportunity.
"Is this all you have?" He spat out some blood. "The legends say that you were half bear half man. I'm disappointed to say the least."
If the beast was aware of what was being said he made no sign of it. Mind games where useless with these types of people. If there was going to be a weakness to be found, it would be his consistency. His pace was terrific but if he found an opportunity to counter at least once, it would give his knife a chance to play. His knife was hungry for flesh.
A quick dart of the toes and he was on the outside. His whole body shook as the beast tumbled him left and right. Pain flared through his entire body. Blood dripped like sweat. If his timing failed, it would be his death sentence.
He lurched back and swung. He hit. They both staggered backwards. The beast looked as if he was more confused than hurt but he stumbled just the same.
He grinned. The type of grin you give someone when there about to die. "Let me introduce you to my friend."
He lurched forwards at lightning speed. His knife zipped across the beast's throat. The beast gurgled in a sea of bubbling blood. His eye sockets where next to go. How he hated those primitive eyes. Then the tongue because why not. He was never much of a talker anyway. The rest was a blur of stabs and slices. He had made quiet the mess of his new found player before too long. It would leave a nice token for those others he met along the way. Not that they mattered in the slightest. He needed to find Taco. He needed her now.
Uno and Harem haven't been here for a year, but they're frequent so they should be fine.
Edit: Nice to see someone is taking a different approach to the characters. The popular users/ attention whores as opposed to the frequent readers. At the same time that means less people will probably be interested in reading it.
You probably couldn't of gone with a more shounen esq protagonist than Chili though, lol.

I found his intro to be sexy for some reason. Anyway, keep up the great work.
What can she possibly use them for. Untrustworthy allies are useless in a battle royal. I winder if she will send them in to get food. Hm? The possibilities.
