It is currently ranked at #6869, 8 positions from #1 worst rated anime that surpass Skelter Heaven.

More than 10,000 people are still in watching status, so there is definitely the potential.

I personally contributed with a 1/10.

I just put it on my plan to watch list. The reviews I see on mal are terrible. It must be really bad.
If I should believe in God. I should also believe in the tooth fairy. The bible is man made. It was Made by bearded men to try and control people with their beliefs. Off topic. No anime can even come close to Nana. :P

The episodes are 4 minutes each and that's with the intro and outro. Its a psychological horror and 4 minutes was clearly not enough time to fit the plot in so its a jumbled mess. Looking at episode 6 they clearly had no intention of using their time wisely anyway.

at episode 9 I think I was literally grinding my teeth as I was watching it, all the while imagining my cute imouto doing that stuff to me. It was not pleasant.

I had a feeling you'd come to save the day.

It's not to say that I'm disagreeing, but Pupa really just came off as a subpar, low budget tryhard attempt at shock value and horror. I just felt too detached to take it seriously and laughed at its absurdity due to each episode only being 3 minutes. I still consider something like Diabolik Lovers more appalling and disturbing for openly praising rape and Stockholm Syndrome as happily ever after.

Like it was bad, but I just think this whole "OMG SO UNBEARABLE!!!" and "when am I gon' stop bein' scarred 4 life???" thing is as ridiculous as the 10/10 I gave it.

If you watch it per episode, you naturally won't understand the story which would explain a lot of low scores from these series.

Now if you watch the Blu-ray version of pupa, you will see that this anime adapts the manga perfectly and there is character development between the imouto and her brother. While the pace of the anime is rushed, it still provides enough to cover the manga.

It's a shame that people are only reviewing the first episode not the whole series. This being the worst rated show, I think Maken Ki 2 and Infinite Stratos 2 will deserve the title if you ask me. Both anime series are just a joke (One stretching one light novel volume to 12 episodes and one that is just filled with crap basically) Harem anime should look up to High School DxD for inspiration perhaps. For Horror anime series, they should look up to pupa, a pure adaptation without any crap.

I am honored to be one of the people to have watched the lowest rated TV anime on this site in full while it was airing. However, it will never beat Skelter, which was engineered with the sole purpose of being the worst thing ever made.

No, at least to me it never will.

School City Valanoir honestly deserves be the lowest rated, even though not enough people have seen it and even then the rating is 4.58, which I for the life of me DON'T UNDERSTAND as it's worst than either MOD or Skelter Heaven in every conceivable way, and I'm being serious.
