Kanokon-about this guy who is with pretty much dating two girls at once... they are like foxes or something like that...its been awhile since i saw this so i can't really explain it into more detail but i know i really enjoyed it...

Sekirei-this is another hard one to explain because its been a long while since i saw... but anyways here i go haha....it is about this girls who have special and guys can become "married" to them through a kiss so from like the first episode one of the sekirei's gets "married" to the main character and more girls just keep getting added on.... haha so yea i hope i helped a little bit more

How about Katanagatari? The animation style is SUPER weird, but after I got used to it, I almost liked it better than normal. The two main characters act like a couple at the second episode basically, although it's never anything more than cuddling. The episodes are each around 30-40 minutes long, but the dialogue is some of the best I've ever seen. The episodes were long, but I never noticed or got bored while watching because the relationship between the two is so entertaining. PLUS, the main guy is probably in the top 2 or 3 strongest main characters I have ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend this anime.

I haven't watched a lot of anime so I couldn't really give any new recs, but I just wanted to add my input on some of the recommendations:

~ Kare Kano - definitely fits what you were looking for, although it might get kind of boring near the end
~ Romeo x Juliet - a must watch if you want dramatic/emotional romance
~ Fushigi Yuugi - one of my favorite anime! has great romance plus all of the characters are hilarious

Hope this helped :)

As long as Fushigi Yuugi and Kokoro Connect are not last episode couples... I am fine with that but... if they are.. cause there's been plenty of those in this thread for some odd reason -.-

Did you watch Ai Yori Aoshi: Enishi? That's the continuation of the first series, although it's kind of repetitious.
Eminem meets Clannad
Just when you thought Clannad's OST was as sad as it could get ;_;

If you seen School Days, rewatch the ending while listening to A Little of Piece of Heaven by A7X. I guarantee laughs.

As for spice and wolf it's true that it doesn't really have much romance, but their relationship does grow and they act like a couple in season 2. Still, since they're not officially toegther it's not really what you're looking for in this rec. But it's still a very good show.
Zetsuen no Tempest. It does have romance, but since the girl is dead I guess it's not what you're looking for.

I'm recommending Lovely Complex. They become a couple around ep 16 of 24, so it's not a last episode confession and it's a good series.

No Doubt that Spice and Wolf is an amazing series, one of the better ones =p, wish there was more.. .considering there's 12 more volumes of novels left...

I'll definitely now check out Lovely Complex, as I now know it isn't a last episode couple.

Don't bother watching Kare Kano. If you want to full effect of it, read the manga. It's far better and more enjoyable and you'll feel more satisfied with it when you finish.

Don't know if this thread is still alive, but an anime called Golden Time fits almost, if not perfectly into what you're looking for. "They" become a couple quite early on (REALLY early on if compared to other anime I have seen) and the story was great in my opinion. In my opinion it's a refreshing take on romance anime (not that I've seen a lot of them) in several aspects and hope to see more of this kind of stuff in the future.

Other positive points about the show are that it's well animated (in my opinion), it takes place in a university environment instead of the usual high school setting, the characters are enjoyable and believable (in most aspects), it has nice comedic and dramatic sides to it and if you're a fan of Nana the show has a little surprise for you.

I'd also like to add that I've read some bad comments about it and don't really understand what their complaining about, so don't be discouraged to watch it.

You can check 'Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii' out.
Second 'Konakon' since they are sort of together.
Since you want something that goes beyond the 'get together' you can always try 'My Wife is a High School Student'.
'Junjou Romantica' has it's couples get together rather quickly but it's a BL.

BTW you said that in Zero no Tsulkaima they only become official in the last episode however I watched the whole series the other day and they sort of got married in the 2nd season.

I only watched first few episodes of 'History's strongest desciple Kenichi' but if I'm right they got together quite quickly there.

I think this anime is one of those 'you either hate it or you love it' anime. The romance is (in my opinion) a little more mature then normal highs school romance because the characters stay true to their personality until the end. The romance isn't all lovey-dovey, it's more subtle I think.

I loved the anime but the romance isn't supposed to give you the high school feel - they're only in HS for the first few episodes.

Try D.C. Da Capo/D.C.S.S. Da Capo Second Season, They get together with a few episodes of season 1 to spare, plus there is the second season. You can also try D.C.II. Da Capo 2 as well but it isn't as good as the first.

Went through your list (@FalconSight) and here are some titles that you did not have listed that I think you will still find appealing. Several of these titles are among my absolute favorites and after looking at your list I believe we may share some similar tastes (BTW, my list is highly incomplete because Im really bad at adding what Ive watched). While several may not be exactly what you are looking for, I believe that each of these you will find satisfying. And each of these titles does have a significant romantic element. They are not in any particular order.

- Major
This is primarily a baseball story and a long one at that (6 seasons + movie + OVAs).
It follows a boy throughout his lifetime as he pursues his dream and will bring both tears of sadness, happiness, and frustration. Along the journey his romantic interests develop and I can say that one of the OVAs at the very end is exclusively regarding the family he achieves. With regards to the sport, while he is presented as a prodigy it is not out of control like many other sport animes and backs it up with the work and devotion he puts into it. This is ultimately one of my favorite stories of all and I think you are missing out on a great story by not watching them. And the animation is not fully modern but is not excessively dated either. No matter what it is worth it. If you can make it through the 1st 3-6 episodes (its been awhile) without wanting more then I will say no more.

- Peach Girl
This story has been mentioned previously in the thread. Again, it has been awhile so I do not remember exactly how it ends but I enjoyed it profusely when I watched it. **Special Note: I may be biased on this one as I can relate to the competitive swimming world.

- Yume-iro Pâtissière
This is a simple cute show about cooking school, but I can say that the relationship is developed going into the 2nd season.

- Full Moon wo Sagashite
I absolutely love the music in this show and while the story may not continue as far as you would like, it is still soooo worth watching. And really sweet and cute.

- Hoshi no Koe(Voices from a Distant Star)
Another one of my absolute favorites, the movie (or OVA as its listed) is short and very powerful. The anime on its own is fantastic but I would recommend reading the manga as well (oneshot). The ending is a little more developed than the movie but the movie has incredible artwork, and presence.

- Kumo no Mukou Yakusoku no Basho(The Place Promised in Our Early Days)
This is a full length movie. Style-wise it could be related to Voices of a Distant Star or 5cm Per Second, or it could simply be that I viewed all of these around the same time period so I think of them together. If you haven't seen it, then you need to watch it.

- Paradise Kiss
One of the first shows I saw when I started watching anime and one I have repeatedly watched to cheer myself up.

- Summer Wars
Out of this whole list, this title has the least amount of romance to it, probably even less than Major. However this is just a really fun movie to watch so I wanted to list it since you don't have it listed in your history.

- Toshokan Sensou(Library War)
I just watched this anime (and the movie that follows) this last week and this is probably best described as a naturally developing romance story. The plot outside of the romance is fantastic, adds to the suspense and worry without overpowering, and will leaving you looking for the next episode. After the 12 episode season, there is a bonus episode and a movie. The movie closes out the story and does a very good job at that (listen/read very closely in the last scene XD). There is more I can say to describe this but I dont like ruining a good story before you watch it so just know that it is worth it. I had been dancing around it for several months and I now wish I had watched it sooner.

Didn't read the other comments but I know that some great ones would be Golden Time (Where they get together at around ep 3or 4) , B Gata H Kei (It's more like they know they have feelings for each other and express it, you'll understand when you watch), Shakugan no Shana (later on in the series but still early on), My Love Story (Either 1st or 2nd episode they get together), Say "I Love You" (Get together near the start). That's all I can think of honestly hope this helps out.

Here is a hint, if a thread is longer than 2 pages it's most likely a necro one. Btw I realized the op wrote a message 7 months ago but this still makes it a necro thread.

Golden Time - the MC doesn't really get married, but he goes on plenty of dates with his girlfriend, and it is highly based on romance

Itazura na Kiss - many of you have suggested it so i really don't need to explain what it's about, BUT IT'S A MUST WATCH!!!

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! - they don't get married but they go on lots of dates, and its pretty similar to Itazura na Kiss in the way the guy treats the girl

Mayo Chiki! - they don't get married but they go on dates plenty, and there are some pretty touching moments, but its more about being funny than romantic

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei - they don't really get married, but they are in an arranged marriage and towards the end it gets pretty touching

Onegai Teacher - they are married from the beginning

Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji - they don't get married, but they do date, its very similar to Itazura na Kiss in the way the guy treats the girl, also similar to Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! - (trust me the MC gets married)

Seto no Hanayome - they don't really get married or date, but it is about them having to go with an arranged marriage

That's my list of anime that have to do with romance/dating/marriage/children. Hope you enjoy! =D
