| Good is arguable but surely not successful. You saw what happened to Netflix's anime adaptations. There is not too many people who enjoy both anime and American movies and even of these most would not like it. |

| Goodfellas would be completely different as an anime (film). The whole purpose of the movie is revealing the grimy nature of mafia culture while also showing the illusions of grandeur and freedom experienced by the members of the mafia. You could still try to make it in anime form, but everything it was trying to say and do would be lost without the gritty live-action atmosphere and pitch-perfect performances from the cast. Animation (i.e. anime) and live-action filmmaking have their own distinct strengths, which is why directors use their preferred styles of filmmaking to bring their visions to fruition. So yes, these movies would probably still be good, but why would you even want to change them if the resultant product loses part of what made the original special. Except 'Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse'. It is already an animated film, so nothing would need to be changed in the slightest. |

Dark Knight - No Goodfellas - Hell no Whiplash - Yes, could work Fight club- Not likely Taxi driver - No The Truman Show- Maybe Inception - I think Nolan was inspired by Paprika haven't watched that tho. Still No. Lord of the rings - Yes, but won't be as good Django - Yes, but that's a American setting works best there. Moral of the story don't compare mediums. |
