| Kai kept a strong hold on Zero. |

| Grace grimaced and used her own weapon to fire into Aki's hip. "When I fire with this gun, the police are notified of my position," she said as she fell and shot Trent's shoulder. "They'll be here to find you," she said firing into Soren and Kai's knees. |

| Masaru grabbed Soren's arm and slid his foot underneath his, flipping him onto the ground. He got shot in the leg and gritted his teeth, however he then took Soren's gun and shot at Trent's head. |

| Kai looks at Trent and Aki. "Run you two... I'm not sure how much longer I can hold him." He moved his arms around so he had a better hold and Zero and tighten the hold on him. "I told you, Zero; I'm not letting you go." Aki grabbed her hip and looked down to see where she got shot at. |

| Grace grinned and fired at his hand, shooting the gun away. "I want you to suffer, bastard." |

| Aki looks at Trent and starts to cry. "No, don't do this. I need you and your support through this pregancy, Trent." |

| "You're quite stupid, pissing me off more than you already have." Masaru gripped Soren's neck tightly and started to tighten his grip on it. "It's your fault Grace is hurt. I'll slaughter you." |

| Grace grimaced and pulled them out before passing out. She struggled to stay awake, but she couldn't do it. Her hand touched Masaru's before her eyes shut. The police barged in and aimed guns at everyone. "Freeze!" |

| Masaru grabbed Soren's wrist and held it to the ground, tightening his grip around his neck more. "Shut the hell up, bastard." He saw Grace pass out which made him start to choke Soren out of anger. "Aw, looks like Takeshi's pissed." Rin said laughing. |

| Aki leans up to Trent and kisses him one last time. "Then remember I will always love you." She then starts for the exit. |

| The police barged in and aimed guns at everyone. "Freeze!" |

| Aki stops when she hears the police. No I was so close too. |
|
| A bullet hit Masaru in the arm, but he was completely blinded by rage that he continued to choke Soren, tightening his grip more. "This is why I like Takeshi." Rin said smirking. |

| Kai looks at Soren. "Yeah, looks that way." |
|
| A man pulled Masaru off of the man and the lights flickered off. "Dammit!" a cop said. |

| "Aw, damn cops. I wanted to see Takeshi choke someone to death again." Rin said with a disappointed tone. Masaru slapped the man's hand away and gripped Soren's collar. He then ran to Grace. |

| Aki didn't know what was going on; she couldn't see a thing. Kai looks around. "Well, looks like the owner of the warehouse forgot to pay his bills." Ryo laughs. "That's a good one Kai." |

| They flipped the lights on and searched for a girl, but there wasn't one they could see. They put Kai and Soren in custody and had EMTs checking out Masaru, Grace and Zero. Grace was laying on a gurney with oxygen and several people working at her wounds. |

| "Damn it. Even now I still can't protect anyone." Masaru mumbled to himself, staring at Grace worriedly. Rin floated over to Soren and poked him. "Aw, this brings back memories." |

| The EMTs found Aki and stitches her wound. Luckily, it was only a minor shot. They told her that her shooter knew what they were doing when they soared the woman's child. They let her sit in a gurney with a blanket. Grace slowly opened one eye and took Masaru's hand. She pulled the oxygen mask away. "Looks like I'll be on bed rest for awhile. Think we could stay in France a little longer?" she asked, smiling. |

| Masaru squeezed her hand lightly. "I'm sorry. I promised you I wouldn't let them hurt you..." "He makes me actually hope that humans who use the death note become a Shinigami. He'll be fun to fight." Rin said laughing. |

| Aki sighs out in relief to hear that her unborn child was just fine. She looks at the EMTs. "I'm no more than a week along is that about right?" Aki decided instead of sitting on the gurney she would lay down and cover up. |

| Aki looks back in the direction of the warehouse and can basically see Trent, even though he is hiding. |
|
| "Aw, not dead? Man, Takeshi usually slaughters everyone when he gets pissed. Damn cops ruining the fun." Rin said scowling. |
|
| The EMT with her nodded. "That sounds about right. You're healthy." Grace smiled and took a breath with the mask. "It's okay, Masaru. They came after you left; there was nothing you could do," she took a breath. "Look, we've caught two Kiras...and we're safe. W-Where's Zero?" she asks as they prepared to wheel her into an ambulance. |

| Kai looks at Soren and whispers. "What are planning?" Aki smiles when she heard the good news, but her hip still hurt. |

| "Zero's fine. Seems he's the only one who didn't get hurt." Masaru sighed. He gripped his arm from the gunshot wound he got. "If I kill the cops Takeshi's gonna' kill you. You sure you want that?" Rin asked. |
|
| The EMTs asked Aki if she wanted to go to the hospital and took Masaru into a separate ambulance. They rushed them to the hospital and the police were about to leave with their suspects. |

| Aki overheard what Zero had told the female detective who shot her. He hates us? Or does he just hate Trent? If anything ever did happen to Trent would they let me stay with them? Zero would be the only family I have left. I could always try a new life here in Paris. She looks at them. "Yes." |

| They took her to the hospital in a third ambulance. |

| "Takeshi's going to the hospital it seems. Things were a lot more fun when he was a teenager." Rin said floating on his back. |

| Ryo looks at him. "Oh, why's that?" |
|
| The police took Kai and Soren to the station as quickly as possible. |
