| Grace sat beside a cup of tea and put in thirteen cubes of sugar. She read the papers and crossed her legs as she drank the sugary beverage. "You should sit. The plane will be flying in a few moments." |

| Masaru sat down as well silently, he leaned back in the seat closing his eyes. "I apologize in advance if Rin Chi annoys you... If not soon, he will eventually." He said calmly. |

| Grace chuckled and looked at Rin Chi for a few seconds. "He's one of the more...elaborate Shinigami I've seen as of yet," she smirked. The plane began to lift off and Grace sipped her tea once more. "Can I get you anything, Masaru?" |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Elaborate... I guess that's one way of putting it." He said with his eyes still closed. "No, I'm fine thanks. The only thing I need at the moment is a little rest. It's not something I get often." |

| Grace nodded and sipped her tea as she typed away at her laptop and read her documents. It wasn't every day she got the time to finish up some work. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| Rin floated on his back with a scowl. "Oi, girl. How long is this gonna' take?" |

| Grace didn't look away from what she was doing on her laptop. "I'm not sure. I'm guessing about eight on nine hours. Why?" |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Hmph, how boring." Rin said annoyed. He stayed silent for a while, then spoke again. "You don't seem very frightened of me, girl." |

| "Fear is a stupid thing to waste time on," Geace said as she refilled her cup and added the sugar. Her fingers speedily typed away at the laptop keys... |

| Rin chuckled a bit. "You say that as if claiming not to fear anything. Which, is stupid. All humans fear something. Whether they admit it or not." |

| "I fear many things," Grace said quietly as she clicked on a file. "Just not Shinigami," she said with a long sigh. |

| "That's strange, considering we can kill you whenever we want." He said smirking. |

| Grace looked him in the eye. If he looked at her name and number, they would reflect his own. For some reason, her eyes were like mirrors. This pretty much made her immune to almost all Shinigami. "Is that so?" |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Hm...? Do you think that little trick will do much." He said standing. "Let me tell you something, girl. The rule for Shinigami. Is that we are not allowed to KILL humans with our bare hands... But, there isn't a rule that says I can't harm a human." Rin said chuckling. "I suggest you don't look down on me, human." |

| Grace paused and stood in front of him. "How odd...you are much more elaborate than even I expected." |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Finally understand? Even if I can't kill you, I can always hurt you." Rin said with a maniacal grin on his face. |

| Grace shrugged. "Pain and death don't scare me. I've seen it do much that I've grown numb to it. Do what you wish, Shinigami." |

| "So, you're basically saying that if I choked you to the point where you passed out. You wouldn't mind?" He said wrapping one hand around her neck firmly, however there was no pressure. |

| Grace swatted the hand away and sat, closing her laptop. "Would you like something, Rin Chi?" |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Nope, just entertaining myself." He said smirking. "You'll drop that that tough act eventually, all humans have a breaking point." Rin started chuckling. |

| "I passed that point years ago," Grace said as she sipped her tea. "I'm just crazy now I guess." |

| "It's strange how similar you and Takeshi are. You both believe that you can simply put on a mask and hide your emotions." Rin said floating again. "Though I don't Takeshi has described himself as crazy. However he probably would if I asked him." |

| Grace ran her fingers through her hair. "I'm sure this will make our time in France interesting." |

| "What a strange little girl you are." Rin said chuckling. "But that mask will fall off eventually. Takeshi's has already fallen off once, yours will too." |

| Grace smirked and stared out the window. The flight was rather uneventful for six hours until they hit some turbulance over the Caspian Sea. |

| Masaru woke up from the turbulence, however he didn't seem that shocked. In fact he merely stretched his arms and yawned. "How long have I been asleep...?" He asked lazily. |

| "Six hours give or take," Grace said as she turned a page of her book. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "I see... Did Rin Chi give you a hard time while I was asleep?" Masaru asked rubbing his eyes to wake himself up. |

| "Not at all," Grace said quietly. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Lucky you. So, how long till we land?" Masaru asked still half-asleep. |
|
| Grace looked out the window. "An hour tops," she said before returning to her book while twirling a piece of hair between two fingers. |

| "I see." He said taking out his phone looking at his messages. He seemed to smile slightly, but it vanished the moment it appeared. |

| Grace sipped at her ninth cup of tea, biting into a dried apple chip. |

| Masaru put his phone away and took out Rin Chi's death note. He flipped through it out of curiosity to see if what he wrote in it years ago was still there. |
|
| Grace looked at the Death Note warily. "You like to keep it with you?" she asked as she carefully sat her book down. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Yes, I do. It wouldn't be good if someone else got hold of it." He said continuing to flip through it, finding the pages he wrote on. |

| "Did you ever kill anyone with it?" Grace asked with a sudden interest. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| Masaru stayed silent for a while. "Yes... I have. I don't expect you to be okay with it or understand. But I had my reasons and they were far from innocent." He said quietly. |

| Grace smiled softly. "We're human, Masaru. I understand completely. I used one too when I was younger." |

| Masaru stared at her for a short while, then went back to staring at the death note. |

| Grace looked out the window quietly before standing and walking to the restroom to brush her hair and clean her face. |

| I can't rely on this again. I'll only keep it for the sake of keeping it from the Kira's, but I wont use it again. I need to rely on my own capabilities. Masaru thought to himself before putting it away and staring out the window. |

| Grace returned a few moments later and say back down, examining her cup. She stuck her finger in and tasted it warily. Realizing there was no poison, Grace took a sip and laid her head in her hand. |
Hey you! Yes you! Do you like: Dragon Ball? |
| "Quite cautious, aren't you?" Masaru asked not turning his head. |

| "Habit," Grace said as she looked around the plane. It almost looked like a small house. It was nice to be out of that stuffy warehouse anyways. |

| "So, where are we staying? I assume you already made reservations at a hotel or something." Masaru asked still looking out the window. |

| "We're staying in a small chateau just outside of South France under the names Mr. and Mrs. Nakamaura," Grace said sliding a pair of photos to him. |

| He took the photos and looked at them. It was a lot fancier than anything he ever lived in. "I didn't expect to be staying in a place like this. I've never lived in anything close to it." Masaru said a little surprised. |

| "Like I said, I have connections. There are four rooms with one bed and bathroom for each, so we won't have to share," Grace said as she glanced out the window. |

| "Not that I expected us to share. But at least it's big enough that I more likely won't have to wake up to Rin Chi staring me in the face." Masaru said sighing in annoyance, remember all the times that has happened. |
