| Uzumaki for sure. I also really like Franken Fran. Does Battle Royale count as horror? If so I'll add that to my list. I've only completed the novel though and I still haven't gotten very far with the manga. |

| I love Battle Royal. I liked how they took time out of the story to develope basically every character and show the reader what the were like before they were forced to compete in The Program. No one was crazy just for the sake of being crazy, everyone had a back story and a past with painful memories that got dredged up over the course of the game. Art style was great too :D they artist really knew how to make everyone look absolutely nuts haha. Is there really a sequel? I also love Uzumaki too! (I couldn't choose between the two haha). It's such a unique manga, that isn't really based of and story or movie, it's just 100% originality. They don't develope the characters as much, but they really go in-depth with the villain-- spirals. this manga has stuck with me ever since I read it about two years ago. Personally, I think the first two chapters are just perfect. Junji Ito really knows how to build suspense and show the degeneration of a society. What's interesting about this manga is that it it's like a lot of other mangas; it has no up the skirt shots, no fan service, the people are drawn pretty realistically. Which is sort of refreshing. Sorry, I tend to ramble. ^^; |
