I hate Yaoi with a fiery passion. The worst animated media I've ever SEEN was a Yaoi. I bet we can all guess what that is. Not to mention, the Yaoi fanbase is cancer.

I don't watch yaoi anime, nor read yaoi manga, because their plots are so damn... strange ( seriously, falling in love with someone after they molested/raped you only because you got a boner so you 'enjoyed it'? What the Hell? Not to mention how unrealistic the characters are ).
But I do enjoy it, even though in real life I can't quite picture myself dating another man. I enjoy the good-looking fanarts and I sometimes read doujinshis. Hell, I don't even ship, yet if I have to choose a ship from a show, it's most likely a MxM one.
There's nothing wrong with liking it as a straight man, just how like it's nothing wrong to like yuri as a straight woman. Whatever turns you on, I guess. They're fictional, after all, and obviously they look way better than in real life.
