This reboot is one of the best CGI anime ever made, aside Houseki no Kuni, both from the Orange studio, master of anime CGI.

But the classic 1998's was a classic. The millenial Vash had a lot of charm, rather of the stylish appeal of the Alpha/Zoomer Vash.

And the manga was also a classic, the japanese anime-western icon. Btw, the end in the manga was completely different of 1998's anime series (which just adapted part of the manga).

Which ones do you know?

I enjoyed the original version and the reboot. I especially loved the way the new version ended with a callback to the original and I think some of my favorite parts from the original were done well in the reboot. It’s great that they did a prequel rather than a reboot of a beloved series.

@Irshiki The manga is divided in two series, 1st Trigun, with 20 chapters, and the sequel Trigun Maximum, with 97 chapters.

The 1998's anime adapted directly the 1st 15 chapters of the original manga, with the same story, the same characters and their original design. Then the anime took another totally different way until its end.

Actually this 2023's anime is an original version of Trigun itself, with everything different except the universe, the background story and part of the characters.

Thanks for that, didn't know. By the way, I really like 2023 version, feel more modern, in a way similar to Devilman Crybaby

I might read the manga once I'm done watching the CGI anime, and so far, I'm enjoying it.
