Do you think there should be a high-schooler amongst the brothers? Someone in that 15-18 bracket. Should one of the 2 middle children have been aged up to high school? Would you add an extra character to fit that bracket? Or would you say the age spread of characters is fine as it is?

Personally would've appreciated a high-schooler's perspective in this anime.

I get the feeling that we’d get more high school segments if we ever got episodes focused on younger Hayato. Or, if the show goes on long enough, Mikoto and Minato will end up naturally taking on that role.

Alternatively, we could get a new addition to the cast who’s in high school. Maybe someone who joins Minato and Uta’s friend group, or the grandson of someone from the neighborhood association.

I agree that someone with that perspective would be a good addition, but it’s not an addition I’m itching to get at the moment. I think the cast is great as is.

i think the age spread is fine, and you can't really change any of the ages without changing the entire show. Not to mention that the manga is ongoing, so there's a chance that the author intends to have Mikoto and Minato in high school eventually (if it hasn't happened already).

If they set the middle brothers too old, then there'd be less funny dynamic since they're more mature = less drama/ conflict.
The youngest brother can be a little bit older w.o changing too much stuff though, but he cant be middle school either.
So overall the age spread is perfect for enough interesting dynamic.
