| The eliminations phase of senpuu Saimoe 2016 consists of two stages. In the first stage you are choosing just the series that will be represented in the main tournament and the characters themselves are chosen in the second stage. Rules of the first stage: 1. In the first round of the first stage all series with nominated characters are divided into two groups. Each person at this point has 25 votes and the 45 (or more in case of draws) best series from both group advance. 2. In the second round of the first stages you are basically voting for how many characters each series will have in the main tournament. You will also have 25 votes and the breakdown will look like this: • Series with most votes – 10 characters • Next two series – 9 characters • Next three series – 8 characters • Next four series – 7 characters • Next five series – 6 characters • Next eight series - 5 characters • Next ten series – 4 characters • Next twelve series – 3 characters • Next eighteen series – 2 characters • Next twenty-six series – 1 character 3. In cases of draws at the dividing position the series that had more votes in the first round will get the greater amount of characters. 4. In case a series has less characters nominated than its result it moves directly to the position with this number and the series that were initially below her advance one spot. Rules of the second stage: 1. At this stage you choose the representatives of each series therefore each group will be actually the nominated cast of a specific series. 2. If a series has won 10 characters in the tournament you will be able to vote for 10 characters from it. In a case a series has 20 characters nominated that means only the 10 with the most votes will advance to the main tournament. 3. In case of draws at the last rewarded spot both characters advance to the main tournament. 4. If because of draws more series advance from the first stage the titles from which only one character advance will have one additional rule. Namely firstly a place in the main tournament will be granted to characters with the higher vote count (until the list of participants is full). For instance if character A wins her group with 10 votes she will be classified over character B who wins her group but with only 8 votes. Therefore it may occur that because of that only A will have a spot in the main tournament and B will be eliminated. |
