Information
Learning a language is hard to do at any age. Here is a method of learning that is updated and clarified. This club will reflect basic elements of Nihongo. If you study the lessons in the forum at least 30 minutes a day, you can learn to speak Nihongo in a matter of a few months. However, it takes years to master (so let's be realistic. ^_^)NOTE: This club is not intended to replace that of a trained teacher or tutor. For optimal instruction, it is wise to attened a class that will teach Japanese in a form for practical comprehension and usage. However, here, you can grasp Nihongo the same way you learned English when you were young. There will be simple words (with pronounciation), and you will progress to comeplex phrases. Stages of learning are: 1) English 2) Romanji 3) Katakana 4) Hiragana 5) Kanji Lessons will include audio informtion that will help in correct pronouciation and sentence structure. The courses here will provide English translations and brief explanations for each lesson. The first few will cover pronounciation, laying the foundation for learning the vocabulary, phrases, and grammer components that are explained later. In addition to this, there are exercises that will help in Nihongo grammer, and verb conjugations. NOTE: Commenting in the forum is ok, as long as it is on topic with the subject of the thread. Practice your Nihongo as much as possible. Even if you can't manage a trip to Nihon, watching Japanese movies / anime, reading Japanese maganizes / manga, eating at native restaurants, and talking Nihongo with friends and family will help reinforce what you have learned. Here are helpful sites that will encourage your comprehension and growth: About.com - Japanese About.com - English Grammer (English as a 2nd Language) Wikipedia - Dependent Clause Wikipedia - English Grammar Japanese-English Online Dictionary (with Hiragana and Katakana) These pages on these sites were suggested to me by my tutor. However, the following sites were suggested by sleepyday who created The Japanese Club here on MAL.
