Drifloon and Drifblim Fanclub

Drifloon has black-dot eyes and a yellow "X" on its face; as Drifloon may be interpreted as the ghosts of popped balloons, this "X" may be two pieces of tape intended to cover the hole that would have caused the balloon to deflate. A white mass of fluff sits on top of Drifloon's head. <strong>Special abilities</strong> Drifloon and its evolution Drifblim have the signature ability, Unburden, which doubles Speed when the Pokemon's hold item is lost. This could possibly be a reference to how real balloons may not float if weighed down, and once whatever was holding it is gone, it floats away. It may also refer to the ballasts of hot air balloons. <strong>Behavior</strong> Drifloon usually try to grab children in attempts to spirit them away, but these attempts always end up with the Drifloon getting swung around. Being filled with air lets Drifloon either expand or shrink to express its feelings. <strong>Habitat</strong> Drifloon drifts into (and presumably lives around) the area of Valley Windworks, and prefers damp weather. <!--spoiler--></span></div> <em>About Drifblim:</em> <div class="spoiler"><input type="button" class="button" onClick="this.nextSibling.nextSibling.style.display='block';this.style.display='none';" value="Show spoiler"> <span class="spoiler_content" style="display:none"><input type="button" class="button" onClick="this.parentNode.style.display='none';this.parentNode.parentNode.childNodes[0].style.display='block';" value="Hide spoiler"><br> <strong>Physiology</strong> Drifblim seems to be a living hot air balloon, primarily purple in coloration. Its once black eyes are now red and set far apart. The lower hemisphere of Drifblim’s body is lighter than the upper, while its bottom portion is red and looks torn. It has four yellow-tipped limbs which may be twitched to act as rudders, and grooves running down the body. The white puff on the top of its head, with the pointed portion of it directed forward, seems small compared to its whole body. Like Drifloon, it has a yellow "X" on its face and (as seen in Pokemon Adventures and Pokemon Battle Revolution) a little mouth on it. <strong>Special abilities</strong> Unlike Drifloon, Drifblim can be used for transportation, having the strength to lift people. Unfortunately, like a real hot-air balloon, it goes with the winds, and as such, one cannot control its trajectory. <strong>Behavior</strong> Drifblim is drowsy in daytime, but is carried aloft by the winds in the evening in big groups.
