Hi, I just joined- I <3 Jigoku Shoujo, it is my fave anime. I'm guessing you guys have seen the third season, even though this club is based on the first 2 seasons, right? If not, watch it! Surprising revelations you do not, I repeat, DO NOT want to miss! :) Enma Ai is so beautiful!

I'd already considered the Jigoku Shoujo symbol as a tatoo, however I dislike having tatoos, thus I won't be having one...still I had my "What if I would..." thought on it ^^"

True XD I've looked all over the net today and nothing. The way I see it is [after looking into a bunch of symbolism crap and considering one decent answer from Yahoo lol] the circle represents earth and the fire represents hell, breaking through earth to get out.

And thats pretty much what happens in the show thanks to Ai-chan.

Either way, it's on my list. I'm going to be getting the Mai HiME mark first though XP

Don't know about a "deeper" meaning as well, yet I won't think there is one at all...just a symbol.

On the other hand, if you are tempted to get it as a tatoo then get it, because a) you couldn't care less what people think and b) there are already people walking around with that same tatoo ;)

Just joined here X3 I have a question though~
Does anyone know if the Hell symbol people get on their chests actually means anything elsewhere [like in mythology or such]? I'm tempted to get it as a tattoo XD;
