She invites Kirishiki Seishirou and Chizuru into her household, which resulted in her being bitten and eventual death. Because Nao loves her family very much (she was raised in a household of alcoholic parents, who left her when she was 6), she returns as a Shiki and kill her son Susumu, her husband Mikiyasu, her mother-in-law Setsuko and her father-in-law Tokujiro. However, none of them returns to life, and Nao then targets the Yasumori main house out of jealousy, killing her sister-in-law Junko.
Nao is eventually tied outside unable to escape until the sun rises. When it does, she starts to burn with all the other Shiki. A human shows pity and puts her out of her misery while she's burning.
