Lumati is the second in line to the Laginay throne. He is 14 years old. Kajika refers to him as Oriental Blue, because of his unique colored eyes. One of the candidates to be her future husband selected by her father.
Episodes 5 and 6:
When first introduced in episode 5 he comes across cocky, and quite frankly annoyed by Kajika. After an incident in the greenhouse where Lumati saves Kajika from an unruly character, Kajika seems to have an instant attraction to Lumati. Lumati throughtout episode 5 seems to hate being bothered by formalities. He refuses to wear a head covering, which his Chamberlain seemed most upset about, and blackmailed Lumati into wearing it again, by stating he would take his own life, for the ways of Laginay meant a great deal to him. Lumati soon after attempts to runaway, and runs into Kajika again. The two soon go off together into the night, and walk together. After a little ways Lumati gives Kajika his head covering, because she expressed such an interest in it. It soon that a car tries to run Kajika and Lumati over. In episode 6 Kajika and Lumati run away from the so called assassins. They soon run into street kids of Hong Kong who offer them sanctuary. It is then we learn more of Lumati's character, because he was raised in the palace he has an air about him. You notice he gives orders, and commands things. Kajika soon tries to make friends with him, and she realizes he has no true friends, and that he wants a true friend. Lumati is seen throughout in some scenes blushing (probably because he is developing feelings for Kajika). They are soon interrupted by the assassins. Turns out one of the assassins is Lumati's elder brother's head guard, commanded to kill Lumati.
Lumati eventually gets to know Kajika and Harry's identities last when he became the king and Maharty's body gets weak.
