Z23 (affectionately nicknamed "Nimi") is a shipgirl of the Azur Lane franchise. A Type 1936A destroyer and a member of the Iron Blood faction, she is one of the more prominent characters due to her role as one of the starter ships in the Azur Lane mobile game.
She is close friends with Javelin, Laffey and Ayanami, despite Javelin and Laffey hailing from the opposing Azur Lane faction (Nimi and Ayanami are from the Crimson Axis). Regardless of their individual backgrounds, the four are often shown throughout the franchise to enjoy the company of one another.
Nimi's relationship with her three dear friends is made even more apparent in the Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! anime, where the four appear as the main characters.
