It's like a parody of all "forced" sequels. Some sequels are great, but others just don't fit. It's like the movie was a success and they want more so they force a sequel into existance and it only serves to stain the name of an otherwise good movie. Though the trailer is pretty well put together and better looking than most fakes I've seen. It would have been cracktastic if such a movie was made.
Here are some random screen shot edits I found while looking for my fanarts to post.
Speaking of Deviantart, I finally got one. I have Snow, Cherri, Xinda and Matt as my friends there. Does anyone else have a Deviantart? Here's mine: http://mikaristar.deviantart.com
Now I must go finish plotting how to get Ludwig out of his shell and into some cute musical note pajamas.
OMG! Time of Eve 6! It's the last episode, I'm happy it's out but sad it's ending because I love this series. It's kind of slice of life, which I usually don't like, but it rocks when life is full of sci-fi robot mysteries where you don't know who's a robot and who's a human anymore. It's so much fun guessing and watching the character's reactions. It rocks! It has an I-Robot feel but with an air of calmness and mystery. You Tube Eve no Jikan, go watch it now!
Episode 6
I saw the ending coming from a mile away after how episode 5 ended. I knew what would happen and it was the classic overused sentient robot thing. I do wish they had gone with a more sci-fi twist making use of the code in the sign as a plot device, it does seem to have something.
It's like the code doesn't change the programming but strengthens the first law, not to harm humans. I take it the human (or possibly perceived human) are the people in the cafe, it would upset and therefor hurt them if the rules are not followed, thus androids follow the rules to not distinguish between humans and androids. Humans are easy to identify because they slip but androids are in that sense programmed to follow the rules, thus they blend in with machine-like perfection, the ones that don't blend in are the humans. So yeah, they're still easy to identify but some humans are good actors, guessing for those is the fun part.
The end was overly fluffy but I liked the joke the cut the cheese. Boy and robot walk away as friends again then suddently boy realizes the old robot cannot go up stairs and is like "how did he get here?" Then the others are like "I carried him" and "I helped". XD The timing of the joke was perfect.
Who else is in Lunaescence? I know Hikou is and I already have her faved. Anyone else? I joined mostly to keep track of stories and post signed reviews. I might post a few stories but certainly not many, I post in too many places as it is and updating takes too long. Maybe just some of my reader inserts and a few other fics.
I've been playing Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. I wish the party wouldn't disband after each quest. I have to go back to the Inn and get people again. If for whatever reason they would refuse to go on a certain quest they can leave when I take it, but if they're going to end up accepting my invitation they should stay.
If I must include someone and have no room the game should ask me who I'm going to kick out and ask me if I want to replace someone with someone else when a character can't be on a certain quest and leaves. It would be better than running to the inn and inviting. Also, only those who would accept should be on the list. There should also be an option to automatically add certain characters when every they're available because I mostly invite the same ones every time.
I like Ailily because I like the characters there best. Kratos rocks. I think this would be more fun if I actually knew these characters better from their original games, but it's still fun. At least I know a little about Phantasia (never finished it) and a little about Symphonia (from the first part of the anime), but there are many characters I've never seen before.
I haven't gone trick o treating for many years, I stopped before I was even 10, but it's okay, I always get candy anyway. XD I actually had something to wear this year since I never wear anything different but I have my cute neko ears and tail. I'm a neko girl yay! :D I like how the ears look when I hide my human ears and the headband with my hair so they look like real neko ears. ^_^ I have cookies, taffy, gummies and chocolate. :D
About the parties I went to, my favorite was King Mickey's party, the only down side is that there was no Axel (though Aladdin was fanservicy). I must say I felt sorry for Jasmine, she must have been freezing in that shirt, it was around 50 degrees because of some crazy twist in the weather that couldn't wait until Monday to happen. They don't have anything Kingdom Hearts, which sucks, but they did have Naruto and Pokemon. XD I wish I had gotten that Jolteon, I just figure I would have nowhere to put him since I have too many stuffed animals cluttering everywhere, which is also why I didn't get the baby Pegasus (from Hercules).
I think I haven't told the story of the last Thursday there. I was at the house of host's mom, she was renovating and I was supposed to help her pack so she could move to her daughter's house and not suffocate with the dust of the renovations. I was reminded of Mario in that the guy was both a plumber and a construction worked (Mario has been both), though he didn't look like Mario at all. He didn't look like Reno either but he was also an electrician and hot. XD
Unfortunately I didn't really get a chance to stuff him in my luggage and take him with me because my suitcase was at host's house and host's mom kept asking me to help with stuff. But he did randomly blow a kiss at me which was totally hilarious because I haven't even said a word to him, then he reminded me of Brock the flirt. XD Then I had to leave... would have been nice if I could have packed him in a box and take him as my slave...
Another thing I forgot to mention was that I had spiked cupcakes. They were chocolate chip soaked in vodka, cupcakes absorb alcohol like sponges and they also had vodka frosting but since it was mixed with so much sugar and the cupcakes were sweet, they didn't taste like alcohol, which is a good thing because I don't like alcohol. Spiked cupcakes are yummy. I bet Reno would like them. XD
With over 80 emails, many among them being fanfic related alerts such as stories and reviews, it's taking me a while to catch up. I'll probably end up catching up tomorrow. I also have some updates to make, but I'm having a blast. Internet how I missed you! I'm going to catch up on emails and Naruto now.
October 31 at 9:37 pm
A happy late birthday to Seto *huggles* oh yeah and Laria and Yani too. XD Almost done catching up, will post fics soon.
A Push in the Right Direction 21: Fairy Tales (Neuro)
A Few Words: 114 to 128 (FFVIII)
Reintegration 6: Email (FFVII)
I already emailed the Halloween gif (if you didn't get it let me know) but I still haven't sent the Gaia Halloween gifts so I'll get to that now. It'll probably be November by the time I'm done. ^^;;
Random: Did everyone get my txt? I sent the last one today.
November 1 at 12:31 am
I'll make a small update to Reno Pixels tomorrow, found another look alike. I need to catch up on sleep tonight. But first I'll send the Gaia Halloween gifts, a day late, but better late than never. I need to get them, haven't even picked them out yet.
November 1 at 1:27 am
Gaia gifts have been sent! If Gaia works they should be in your invs now.
I'll update Reno Pixels tomorrow and play some more Gaia. I'm getting some sleep soon. I also need to change the LJ layout tomorrow and make it first. XD Did I say it's great to be back?
I went to Disney and can now say "been there, done that, sort of." The place is too big so I didn't see all of it but it's okay, I just wanted to go see the classic castle, take pictures and get some souvenirs. I saw Cirque du Soleil live, that was fun. Went to Epcot and rode on Mission to Mars, Test Track, the Nemo ride, Soaring, 3 Caballeros and I forget what else. The shows in the different countries were a bore, too cultural for my liking, I'm not into history, I prefer fantasy, much more creative and shaped to be liked instead of taken as is.
Went to Animal Kingdom and had breakfast with the Disney characters, did the safari ride on the jeep, walked around the zoo area, got on Everest and the Dinosaur one and possibly others I don't currently recall, just a summary. I liked the Lion King show, I was on the lion group. Timon is adorable.
Went to Magic Kingdom as a cat and got candy, it was the Halloween special. Saw the classics, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Small World, the magic 3D movie with the scent, water, wind, etc. special effects, saw the headless horseman, the parade, fireworks, etc.
Every exit in Disney leads to a store, lol. But I'm not a shopaholic though I did get some things. 2 bracelets, one Mickey and one with Mickey, Tinkerbell and Castle charms. A shirt with Tinkerbell, a coat with the castle and that's pretty much it. I also kept the glass from Cirque du Soleil and bought a DVD of the show.
In Disney Quest I got on the weird raft ride where paddling doesn't really do anything and you just bounce around, on the jeep game where you have to shoot bugs and frogs, played the buzz game on the bumper cars, the virtual reality thing where you swing the sword around a lot, some old school Pac-Man, the safari game and the awesome Star Wars racer where the controls are the two levels like in the movie. I could have beat it completely with more practice but there was no time, oh well. I should really go there alone one morning and spend the day on that game. I finished it on easy and was quite close on normal and hard (just one lap away on both, I didn't think there was a huge difference in difficulty between them). I also played the pinball where you hop around and the table hockey thing. The DDR was weird because it was diagonal so it was confusing and uncomfortable I like the classic one like a + instead of the x shaped one.
I got an international prepaid cell, his name is Axel. He rocks, but he's kind of expensive. -.- I'll try to get another card for him and see if I can send texts, I know I won't be able to send many and I don't think I can afford calling, but it's something. Just in case I'll email everyone with the number so you know it's me if it turns out I can send texts, (big if but just in case), don't call that number though, he eats up cards like crazy. ^^;;
Me: I wonder if I can catch an internet signal with Axel... *tries*
Axel: *connects*
Me: *disconnects so as to not use up the prepaid funds*
Axel: You connected to the internet for a total of 1 second so I'm going to eat a quarter now!
Me: WTF?! 25 cents just for testing the connection?!
International cells are expensive, though he does have signal roaming just about anywhere on Earth (unless it's somewhere extreme like in the middle of a forsaken jungle or something, but I'm sticking to civilization.) Even so, he's so expensive it's heartless (haha get it?), but I still love him.
Shopping
I can't believe our guests are coming tomorrow. It feels so soon. I'll make some updates today since I won't have time in the next few days. Same person who will be my host when I leave wants to go shopping two cities over tomorrow. I don't often go shopping there, there's a mall with a Game Stop in my city and another in the next city so I have no reason to travel too far, but she has to go there to visit family and all that. I think I'll get dragged into it.
Hopefully the Game Stop there (I'm assuming there is one, what's a mall without a Game Stop?) will have the games I want. Phantasy Star Portable II and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep are not out yet, but I still haven't found Yu-Gi-Oh! and Futuristic Harvest Moon, plus I decided to give Tales of the World a try and I also want PSN cards and Gurumin... I'm going to need another UMD case to and possibly a trip to the bank because I can't afford all this with what I have on hard... being broke sucks.
Videos
I only watched a few Cardcaptors episodes and this opening wasn't in them so it's not as amusing as the Ouran one, but still amusing, specially the wand. Here's the Cardcaptors opening with Nogami Neuro (more so Yako really)
Here's the classic Ouran opening with Neuro characters but it doesn't look as complete as the FFVII and YGO Ouran openings that I found a while back, many of the characters are still in the line art stage with no colors but it's still amusing. Lol at the part where Haruhi is given a flower, Neuro put a rope around Yako's neck instead. XD Neuro you're such a sadist, you reminds me of me.
The next one is a video of the manga's ending, except it doesn't really spoil anything because they're just a bunch of scenes that will make no sense unless you've read the last chapters so it could just be a cute video of Neuro and Yako. I do wish they had animated that last part when Neuro is
on the verge of death
because he would look cool, but his normal look is better.
It's October (in my time zone at least) so here's a Halloween layout featuring Sora from Kingdom Hearts in Halloween Town. Take a look: http://turkmikari.livejournal.com
Is it wrong that the Seracila Pendant on Gaia reminds me of Sephiroth's bead accessories in Dissidia?
Here's a Mother 3 music video I saw on You Tube. There are no scenes like that exactly in the games it's GBA so it's sprites, but the art and style are a great representation of the sprites, they look just like that, only smaller. I recommend you watch it, it's cute and amusing even if you've never played the Earthbound series.
I laughed when I saw Duster in this second video. I knew it was him but it doesn't look anything like him. Duster is not cute, he doesn't resemble a bishounen in any way shape or form, yet they made him cute in the video. lol It's like a fangirl vision even stronger than my own, because my imagination certainly wasn't enough to make him cute in the game. Hinawa looks too young she's supposed to be Lucas mom and Flint was made cuter too. Lucas and Claus were cute chibs so no huge difference there, save for the anime style. Both Ness and Lucas are in this video, interesting. Ness is the hero from the previous Earthbound, the boy with black hair and the red cap. It seems primary colored shirts with stripes are common for Earthbound heroes.
Finally here's the convenience store video. I remember posting an FFVII version of this before, here it is with Earthbound. This Earthbound 1 aka Mother 2 and the others are from Earthbound 2 aka Mother 3.
If you don't get the part about the rosters and the backpack it's because you can get eggs in Earthbound and if you don't boil them or eat them they hatch when you carry them around for too long and grow. XD
Mother 3 (Earthbound 2)
The Porky statues made him look young but he's actually ancient in this game. However, Jeff's father makes an apperance and he was already old when Jeff was a kid, if he's alive then not that many years must have passed. Porky mentioned he traveled back and forth in time so that must have been what aged him.
It turns out that Locria's disappearance was in fact because he is Fafssad who was defeated in battle, further confirmed by the fact that the seventh needle hasn't yet been pulled until after the Porky fight. So it turns out the dragon will awaken after the seventh needle right away? I'll see. I'm playing and blogging at the same time, just a little more to win!
I'm on the final battle, the first part of it out of 2. Apparently Porky has aged slower from time travel even if he's already ancient? Either way even if the spent 1,000 or 10,000 years getting kicked out of eras, I still say the time frame can't be that far if Jeff's dad is there... or is that Jeff himself? Hmm... could be...
Porky was surprisingly easy to beat. I level grinded to save enough money for the best equipment and I never got the hang of the bonus attacks so I wasn't using that. In Eathbound 1 I had some close calls in the final battle but HP decreases point by point with about 30 a second so if you hurry to take your next turn you can still survive before the count reaches 0. The spell to recover a little on every turn is a real life saver, even if it's just 20 or 30 HP which may seem insignificant, that's 20 or 30 hp stopping the counter from reaching 0 so I can heal.
The other final battle after Porky is blah. I already knew the Masked Man was the long lost Claus, Lucas' brother and now Lucas is being all wimpy and not wanting to fight so basically all you do if heal him until Claus snaps out of the min control and stops fighting Lucas. The dragon is still sleeping now... I wonder if it will actually awaken or if it will be an anti-climatic save. Honestly, you don't just introduce a sealed legendary beast and let it sleep. The heroes are not supposed to win on time, they're suppose to beat the bad guy a second too late and then deal with the monster. But I guess it would be original if they make it different and this is supposed to be the last fight. Plus if the dragon is similar to those who woke it, then it might be a good dragon after all.
In the end I got to attack a little bit, but I don't think it made a difference, it was more about lasting a certain amount of turns... Even so I wasn't going to sit around, after Lucas was finally able to fight back I made him do it, I don't care if it's a waste of PP (psychic points like MP), Claus deserved it so there. :P Oh yeah and I beat the game! Though Claus did a suicidal attack at the end, he must have known Lucas was immune to lightning, he saw it happening twice and it was reflected back at him. Dude, I could have beaten you up myself! D:
The end was pretty stupid. The island is the dragon, they're standing on it, so let's pull the needle, awaken it and be friends... oh way, the rest of the world had already ended and this place was saved because of the sleeping dragon. Oops, we just finishing bringing the apocalypses, here are some scenes of the world falling apart. O.o;; Seriously Earthbound 1 was way better. I checked to see if this was the "bad" ending but it's the only ending apparently and it ends with "End?" but there's no sequel yet.
Wait... there's more... I can walk around on the black screen and "End?" moves and apparently I'm bumping into stuff in the dark XD Let's see how it goes... aw no images... just the characters talking about how the dragons awakening revived everyone and everything is okay. Though the insert was funny. They're all like "Mikari are you okay too?" lol You get to name the playable characters but I left the default name. Th only name without a default is when they break the forth wall and ask for the players name "the one out there, the one pulling the string, the one in control... you know... the player..." So yeah, after getting thank yous from all the characters the credits roll. I guess the "end" was an okay joke but I wish there were images of the real ending. Did they get lazy or what? I'll check to see if there's anything after the credits.
There are flashbacks as the credits roll and that's it. Beat it in about 30 hours.
