Lovely Complex Bon Bon by Hey! Say!

Nice ending!

This was a lovely anime series. I just happened to pick to up because of the too main characters; Risa and Atsushi having to deal with their insecurities when their height difference. Risa being taller than most girls in her class and even some boys and Atsushi being as short as some of the girls.

This song gives you a good idea on whats around the corner for the these two. Plus I like how they use watercolor for the ending sequence which was unique for me, since I haven't seen it anywhere else. Very uplifting song.

Angel Beats! Brave Song by Lia

Even though it's a new series I just love this song!

Well, just when I thought Lia couldn't do any better; she goes off sings this lovely song. It's a nice light tune that sort of eases you out of the depressing struggle the members of the SSS have against Angel. But then you notice something different each time you watch the ending at the end of each episode; a reminder that as the series continues things will never be the same as they once were.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Hare Hare Yukai by Aya Hirano, Yuko Goto, and Minori Chihara

I'll be doing the full dance version

Wow! Give it to the lead seiyuus! Not only their voices are great and portray the characters great; apparently they can sing too! I'm doing the full dance version of the ending. Why? Because I like better than the regular one. I got to say one thing: the animation in the dance is so fluid it makes me think Disney animated it! The song and dance is so addicting it's one of the most copied acts in the world. Even people who aren't familiar with the show, know of the dance. It's pimpin'!

K-ON! Don't say ''LAZY'' by Sakurakou K-ON Bu

It's Happy Tea Time!

Talk about a different appoarch by the girls of K-ON! Instead of the usual pop tempo of the songs they play during the show, this one is more on the hard rock side, which is a great thing! I love how throughout the ending the girls are on this darkened stage surround by gothic and Picasso style backgrounds. It fits the mood of the song and I also dig the outlandish outfits that Mio, Ritsu, Mugi, and Yui wear. Keep on rocking hard girls!

Maria†Holic Kimi ni, Mune Kyun by Yuu Kobayashi

Talk about variety

What were the animators at SHAFT on when they made this!? It's like they took a 8 bit video game and took the spirits and said "Hey, put this together with some magazine cutouts and pictures, make this into collage and call this an ending". Not only that, they made the song into a techo remix sound, which blends the whole thing together. This is typical SHAFT style, animating things outside the box. Kudos for originality! It fits the weirdness of the show to from the yuri minded Kanako; to the messed up, sadist crossdressing girly boy Mariya well.

Because I believe in taking it one step further

As always these are my personal favorite endings and by no means represent the anime and manga community as a whole. Thanks!

Hayate no Gotoku!! daily-daily Dream by KOTOKO

Reversed because of copyright issues

Why I like this song? Well, because KOTOKO has a very nice singing voice prior to this song, but this completely blow my socks. The animation sequences throughout opening is top notch. As expected from JC Staff and a perfect way to send off the last half of the second season out with a bang. Even the full song is one of my favorites; very catchy and easy to the ears. I've seen the opening so many times it never gets old.

TO Love-Ru Forever We Can Make It by Thymne

How they present the credits is creative!

I have to give it to Xebec on how they put together this opening. I like how they present the main girls and then they zoom into part of the background, piece of clothing, and/or some item they are holding, BAM! There's the credits Very creative way of doing the your curtain call that way. Plus the song provided by Thymne is very appropriate for the show, filled with girls who all fall in love with the same guy, but have very different methods they use steal him away from the other girls. Very intense, but very good!

Higurashi no Naku Koro Kai Naraku no Hana by Eiko Shimamiya

I feel Rikas struggle...

I most say that the opening for the original Higurashi gave me the goosebumps throughout the sequence. I thought that there would be no way that Studio DEEN would top that. Man was I wrong! The song Naraku no Hana by Eiko Shimamiya is perfect for this opening. It surrounds me with the pain of Rika living and dieing over and over, in a never ending cycle of death; having seen countless times, her friends commenting the same crimes all over, with no end in sight.

The animation sequences are beautiful and it conveys her struggle against all odds perfectly.

Outlaw Star Through the Night by Masahiko Arimachi

Oh yeah brings back some very good memories

Outlaw Star....It's been a long, long time since I last watched you and I "almost" forgotten how much of a badass intro you had! Masahiko Arimachi did a pimpin' job on capturing the spirit of the Outlaw Star and its crew of outcasts, misfits, and freeloaders. Even to 1998 standards is was a pimp ass opening, with awesome animation and sequences. I watched it on Cartoon Network back in 99' and I didn't have a chance to see the opening until 2006 and I thought why the hell they cut the opening off with that stupid Toonami crap!? I know why now...it's showed that American intros were too stupid and shitty; this oozed pure awesome!

Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Makenai (We won't give up) by Kae Hanazawa

One word: Sweet!!!

Finally! After 4 or more seasons (I honestly lost count!) a new opening for one of my favorite animes in middle school! Don't get me wrong, I loved Moonlight Densetsu by the Moon Lips, but after S, rehashing the same song with different animations and sequences, I wanted something new. Since Stars never saw the light of day here in States (b/c of some gender swapping bs), I was expecting same old same old, but when Kae Hanazawa started singing and sequences of characters cycled through, I was literally blow out of my chair! What!? No more Moonlight Densetsu and new approach to the animation in the opening. It was like breathing a breath of fresh air after smoking for 20 years! It caught my by surprise and that's why it's one of my favorites. I was expecting the same song and gave something completely different. I loved that!
