Anime Relations: Tsubasa Chronicle, Bleach, Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season, Love Live! The School Idol Movie
Bleach (98 – 103) [Re-Watch]
I actually like the Bount Arc so to me this is a pretty enjoyable re-watch. Kariya is perfectly suitable as a main villain and the Bounts are all interesting and unique bad guys themselves. The arc also gives secondary characters a chance to shine. My only real complaint is the battles are too short and lack a dramatic edge.

Tsubasa Chronicles (5 – 8) [Re-Watch]
Still as awesome as I remember. People can say what they may, this is an original shonen that isn’t afraid to get romantic, has a continuous and yet episodic flow at the same time and manages to realistically change its “genre” every arc to remain not only fresh but to do something that hasn’t really ever been done. Also, that soundtrack!

Love Live! Season 2 (1 – 5)
Seems to have more steam than the first season but again, I don’t really have much to say. The idol competition will probably be a much needed bit of excitement and competition when it happens. Side note: The Nico episode was awesome!

Bleach (104 – 111) [Re-Watch]
Pretty solid ending to the Bount Arc, although a pretty slow start to the Arrancar Arc. With that said, I think Ichigo
I still maintain this arc is way better than people give it credit; sometimes I feel people just complain based on the sheer fact that its anime original.

Love Live! Season 2 (6 – 13)
Pretty decent ending, execution was smooth. I still don’t think this is a great series but it still handled itself well and had decent characters. By the way, am I the only one who noticed that in moe series there is never any fanservice, and you never see a guy; like really, all the characters were women and the only men around you didn’t even see their faces, not even once. I don’t care one way or the other but I thought it was weird.

Love Live! Movie
Much like the series, or more precisely, the second season, it was well balanced and decent but not incredible. It was fun and interesting though to see Japanese students visiting America from their perspective. Final note on the series: Love Live! actually introduced an interesting concept although I’m not sure it was intentional. Love Live! is essentially idols on anarchy! No really, think about it: The idol business has become an afterschool activity which prevents it from being detrimental to the idols’ school and social lives, established an online system of voting that is corruption free thanks to not being “managed” by a higher entity, stops parents’ pimping of their children to an aggressive industry, takes away agents and managers and corporate interest… The system they created, whether intentional or not, allows young girls to become idols if they wish it and removes the mafia, corporations and abusive parents. It’s no small improvement when you really think about it. And the show realistically demonstrated by the end of the movie how large scale events can actually be implemented by the idol community itself without the need for “professional” assistance and management. Heck, this might be the fix Japan’s been looking for as far their idol problem goes but considering the level of corruption in all levels of the industry and government, I’m fully aware this is never going to be so much as even considered and anyone attempting it would find himself on the receiving end of a lot of “accidents” and legal troubles.

Bleach (112 – 118) [Re-Watch]
Introduction of the first Arrancars and I have to give the series kudos for leaving a good first impression. Ulquiorra is definitely my favorite Espada. We see the beginning of the battle against Grimmjow’s Fractione but I’ve got to be honest, the smaller fight are not this series’ strength.
