Hair
Kurumi has long black hair, as you can guess from being the theme for this month. She has two different hairstyles depending of her state. When untransformed her hair is mostly down, but she keeps it split into two low twintails, left one longer, with the help of two little scrunchies that are placed around her shoulders and not up as you’d expect. I thought it was just plain down at first, but nope. Either way it looks very nice and fits well her character. She also has uneven blunt bangs in this form which allow her to keep her left eye well covered. When transformed she changes to twintails that come from fairly up and her bangs switch to proper hime cut bangs, plus she gets a frilly gothloli hairband red and black that goes well with her hair. Overall both hairstyles are beautiful and her hair is gorgeous no matter what, though I wish we could see her hair fully down at some point.
Grade: A
Eyes
This is actually a tad unique! Kurumi’s right eye is red, my favorite color and one that goes with her black hair perfectly. It’s also the only eye we see when she’s not in her transformed state. However, she’s not an emo: instead this is to hide her left eye as its pupil is golden and resembles a clock. Yes, a clock, she can see forever! Sorry. Actually there is a reason for her strange pupil: they’re the source of her time-based powers, and depending on where the handles point she can use a different ability. I thought at first she could see how much left to live people had and how they were slowly aging to death, but then her pupil would be sand clock-shaped. Sorry again. Anyway, when it comes down to that she basically has heterochromia with my two favorite eye colors, but given than while that’s nice it’s not as good as plain red eyes and her gold pupil looks a little weird she doesn’t reach top score, but comes close to. Also she never wears glasses, but it’d be weird with her untransformed hair. Maybe she could wear a monocle, but that’s dumb. She could also hide her golden eye with sunglasses I guess, but she’s not A CHAR despite dressing in red and being awesome, so nope.
Grade: A

Body
Build
While not the best, she’s pretty good. Kurumi stands 157 cm tall, which is just barely above my ideal but not too bad, and her measurements are B85/W59/H87. That’s a good thing, since she has bigger hips than breasts, is the curviest of all bottom-heavy girls in the show and the assiest of all main girls. She’s also the bustiest, fine, but by only 1 cm. Now I wanna do a quick rant in that this show is one of the most obvious cases of 90HB I’ve ever seen, as no less than 3 girls have breasts of 90 cm or more and yet the assiest girl in the cast has, you guessed it, 89 cm hips. Boring! At least all the main girls but Tohka are bottom-heavy, I suppose. Back to Kurumi her body looks quite nice, as her legs, waist and back are all above-average and not bad arms either. Her feet are nothing special in the few pics that show them, but anime tends to cheapen out on feet anyway. Her only flaw is her fairly notable chest, especially since this isn’t a top fanservice anime and thus they tend to focus on it too much. While not as terrible as some girls, like Sena, it does hurt her score a little. She’s amazing all the same!

Pretty much her only “lacking” area, sort of. See, DAL isn’t precisely the greatest fanservice show out there, or the greatest show in general, so buttshots are scarce to put it bluntly. Thankfully official art came to the rescue by giving her some nice shots of her ass in sexy underwear or red bikini that let me rank this properly. Her ass is not bad but nothing special either. I do like how she’s the curviest of the bottom-heavy girls tho, if only she had a facesitting scene or something!

Like other girls before, she has few but VERY well-chosen ones. Her transformed outfit is a red gothloli dress with plenty of black frills that looks really sexy, with a long and lovely skirt that hides wondrous black thighhighs and black boots. Sadly she has a little cleavage but not too much, and the sleeves aren’t attacked and also only cover half her arm, and not even the half that begins from the shoulder. She has straps too, thankfully, and a neck frill collar. Meanwhile her untransformed standard costume is her school uniform, which is a black blazer with a red ribbon, though not a bowtie sadly, a token blue miniskirt and in her case PANTYHOSE. Her casual clothes deserve special note for being, you guessed it, a black gothloli dress! Even her choice of underwear is but excellent, with matching frilly black bra and panties, plus a garter belt for her sexy thighhighs. The only “lacking” costume is her swimsuit as it’s a red bikini, but it’s not bad either, because the top has black bits and the bottom is side-tied. If you didn’t notice aside from the white shirt and blue skirt in her uniform ALL her clothing is black and red, which is easily my favorite color combination and boosts her beauty even more! Her only flaw is the lack of variety; picture if she also had a red tracksuit jacket and buruma combo or a black frilly naked apron!

Personality
Kurumi is one of the many spirits that live in another world; to be exact she’s the third one, as the kanji of “three” in her first name betrays. Her last name has “time” in it as those are her main powers, which let her use various Time Mage-esque attacks with the bullets of her two guns depending of where the clock on her left eye points. Those time powers are also the reason she can use clones, as they’re selves from alternate timelines apparently, and the reason she’s damn hard to kill as while she has time left she can keep coming back. And yes, apparently she can travel in time as her goal is going back thirty years and killing the original spirit. Oh yeah, her powers come from an angel named Zakfiel, and besides time powers she also has shadow powers as she took a couple levels in Ninja. No, gunslinger ninjas won’t be a recurring theme this month.
Like all other spirits, the hero’s main goal is seducing her galge-style to get her to stop doing bad things, but it’s more SHE seduces him, more on that later. She also acts quiet and playful most of the time, though mostly with Shidou the lead as she interacts with him mostly. That said she’s not a bad person, as the only people she kills are the ones that act like trash anyway and not random passerby for example. She also loves animals, in the Drama CD a cat gets in her clothes and leads to generic fanservice. Despite all of this she ends in a clearly antagonistic role since she plans to “eat” Shidou and not in the way most men would like, but she might plan to do it for the greater good for all we know since she needs his spirit power within to kill said first spirit and it was the one who started everything. She’s also helped him save Tohka in a yet-to-be-adapted novel, so clearly she doesn’t dislike them all. To summarize Kurumi is a very mysterious girl, but not enough we have NO idea of her motivations or her personality, and while not perfect she appeals to my tastes just right with her personal justice and quietness!
Grade: A+
Libido
Very high. Kurumi is the dommy girl of the series and it shows, always teasing Shidou and getting on top of him, literally on this one novel illustration. She has no qualms on showing off her body in sexy underwear to mock him either. There’s a manga scene where Shidou wears cat ears and she irresistibly hugs him, the animal lover. She also clearly only cares about him and no other men. That said she’s not getting a perfect score here because it’s not 100% clear she does this SOLELY out of love. Sure, she probably likes him, this is a harem show and she’s one of the main heroines with the other four all clearly liking Shidou, but she might be manipulating him for her goals. Since the possibility is plausible I cannot give her a perfect score, but good enough!

Age
This is a bit complicated, since I believe spirits don’t age or at least have some sort of different time span or something, since they are described as “has the appearance of” as opposed to being given clear cut ages like humans. That’d make Kurumi a non-aging girl and thus awesome. She still looks like a high school girl and not a middle school one, but still irresistible!

Voice
Asami Sanada has a cute voice normally, see Vita for another magical gothloli in red of hers, but she manages to sound creepy-sexy for Kurumi while still being cute which is just awesome, AND on top of that she has ojouspeak for some reason. Kurumi is great!
