This is the final entry. Not much to say, as it was quite disappointing...o well. The 3 regrets of this trip:
1) Not going to Akiba
2) Not going to Shibuya
3) Not watching Ginmaru Hetalia.

and maybe 4) Not having enough money/room to buy more stuff.

Anyways...onto what DID happen.
(btw, I didnt take too much pics, as I was really tired by this point in the trip...)

Saturday

I reached the Weekly Mansion in Nakanobu.

Across the street:

On the first floor, a 100yen shop

Going to our room...

The room

and outside

that nite I didnt really do anything...so no pics. (cant remember wat i had for dinner.

Sunday

breakfast (this applies for the other days as well) was a bowl of cereal (brought from U.S. of course...cereal in Japan is expensive), a glass of veggie juice, and melon bread (tho on the last day, I had a chocolate cornet instead...and yea, I ate it from the "fat side" rofl.)

Went over to one of my mom's friend's house (already met her a few days ago)...(taking pics while walking)

dont ask where the house is, lol...tho I will tell u, its quite within walking distance of Nakanobu.
and so I read manga, waiting for my mom's friend's son to come back from school...I played Momotarou Dentetsu, a few Gundam games, and Taiko no Tatsujin (forgot which edition). After that, my mom, her friend's family (of 3), and I went to an Izakaya called Repas de Naoshima. And I had to endure watching my mom drink like a beast (while everyone else drank moderately)...i didnt take pics, as the table was made out of glass, and easily reflected my mom's friend's family. And that was one hell of a night (whenever my mom drinks like a beast, she snores like a beast...cant sleep at all.)...or so I want to say, but because I really couldnt sleep, I decided to take a stroll down to Gotanda (between 1 and 3 in the morning) (not that anything is open except for convenience stores like 7 Eleven, where u can read magazines, manga, etc). No pics, tho, as it was way too dark for that. (o yea, there's no such thing as curfew in Japan.)

Monday

walking...

had ramen for lunch...

and I had to stick with my mom's shopping
(more walking)

whenever u park ur bike in Tokyo...prepare to take out a few hundred yen.

we reach Nakanobu station...and we go to Youga (several miles away), which has a discount grocery store called OK (same one as in Zushi, rofl.)

Hop on board!

and we reach OK (srry, no pics in between...)
had to take a pic of this...i luv it so much, im gonna bookmark this pic.

(and I'll use it to **** everyone, lol)
I was bored so I took a pic of the outside view.....

They hav this too.

I buy melon bread (for the next morning) (btw, I forgot if I mentioned this...each piece of melon bread contains 400~500 Calories (kcal).), as well as C.C. Lemon and an onigiri (to consume immediately after leaving the supermarket), and a few small boxes of my favorite caramel.
We go next to Togoshi, (which is rite next to Nakanobu)...to one of the smallest Ito Yokado stores I've ever seen.
(Stops in the middle of an intersection, takes pics in 4 directions)

We shop at Ito Yokado...
(lots of pens and stuff...including mechanical pencils that will eject lead by shaking them...)

did u recognize the music? probably not...unless u listen to the Beatles (the song is Help...Ito Yokado uses it really often.)
we walk (while I carry the large amount of groceries...)

happened to find a vending machine for...batteries! lolz!

passed by a Japanese public bathhouse, had to take it.

on a separate note, apparently there was a hot spring 200 meters away (seriously? cant reallly believe it, in the middle of Tokyo...)

pachinko parlor!

and we finally reach my favorite yakitori restaurant in Nakanobu. Chicken...could never taste better than on skewers cooked on a charcoal grill. The only problem with these places is... ventilation for tobacco smoke, but who cares? the food makes up for that.
uncooked raw stuff, prepared early in the morning every day.

the grill

got some cabbage with miso paste to start off (its cold and crispy, perfect after a long summer day...)

I didnt take a pic of all the yakitori that I ate...but here's a pic.

btw, I ate 10 skewers...which kept me full for the time being.
and a pic of the restaurant...(the name is Kushimaru)

we went back to my mom's friend's house (again)...this time, my mom wanted to use the comp. I couldve, but the comp was so slow, I had to pass. Instead, i got my mom to set me free for the rest of the night...and off to Gotanda I went (again) (its about a 4 km walk...i couldve taken the train, 2 stations...)

taking pics along the way...

This is a book-off in Togoshi, rite in between Nakanobu and Gotanda.

not too big...but definitely a treasure trove if ur looking for old games.

Gotanda...at nite. lots of pachinko parlors, btw.

Pachinko poster!

(they had Evangelion...couldnt find a poster tho.)

What do I see here? Book-Off! (this store is one of the 3 largest Book-Offs in Tokyo. Dont be fooled by the fact its only 2 stories...the area of each floor is huge.)

no pics inside here, they all look the same...I ended up getting 30 PS/PS2 games for a bit less than 5000 yen...(no pics of the games...that's my secret lol. Of course, its not like i got any eroges...actually, the majority was Final Fantasy stuff.)
and I walked back at one in the morning...my mom was fast asleep. still snoring tho...unfortunately...

Tuesday

mostly packing, and making sure that we dont get caught at customs/immigration (if everything my mom and I bought was inspected, assuming the games and manga were bought at retail price, we wouldve had to pay duty on the stuff...$800 of merchandise is the max for my mom and I, w/o paying duty. Also, u cant carry more than $10,000 without declaring it. Not that either of us were...)

later that day, we go to see my mom's half-brother (my half-uncle)
and so we take the train...

we go to Togoshi (still puzzles me why we didnt walk...its only a mile...)

the restaurant we met at.

I was given the chance to go to Akiba or Shibuya, but I had less than 1000 yen on me at this point, so I didnt bother...(my half uncle offered me 10,000 yen, but I politely declined...if i meet him next year, he's probably gonna get me something really expensive.)

Wednesday

I tried to wake up at 5 in the morning, get train fare from my mom, and go to Akiba (or Shibuya, possibly both, tho Shibuya is much closer...). However, I woke up at 8...check out time was 10, so I couldnt get around to that...(*sob*). Anyways, we leave the hotel, and go to the station by...taxi! Yeah...Japanese taxis hav doors that automatically open and close...lolz

random pic of a bus in Tokyo...

I happened to see a freight train pass by the station, which I thought was unique...had to take a few pics, of course.

the station, btw, is Nishi-Ooi

another train that passed by...this is the Narita Express, which goes from Yokohama to Narita airport. smooth and fast, but expensive. we took a regular train, but sat in the green car, which gives u the feeling ur on Narita Express, or the Keisei Skyliner.

We get to Narita airport, 2nd terminal building...and ate lunch. I got Tonkatsu (pork cutlet) curry...cheap, easy to eat, makes u full in no time. Of course, in Tonkatsu restaurants, its typical to hav free refills of cabbage and rice...definitely tummy filling.

Japanese technology...an air dryer that actually dries ur hand, without cooking it (American air dryers are barely effective compared to this)

btw, if u ever heard of the kid that took out a camera in the bathroom at Narita airport...dont ask me about it.

Shonen Sunday came out with this week's edition...so I got to read the new Hayate chapter! cant wait to find out the latter half of the B-day party lolz...

yea...a tiny bookstore...sells some books, magazines, and cigs.

some pics of the airport past security...

and to the gate...

and we finally boarded...on the way to Japan, I sat in economy...guess where I sat this time...

if u said 1st class, ur rite! lolz...a seat that turns into a flat bed...the good food (really good, actually, if u get the Japanese meal...contains an appetizer of 3 dishes, then rice, miso soup, pickled veggies, some cooked seafood, and some cooked veggies. really good....o yea, the midnight snack was a small assortment of sushi). yea...my 3rd time on 1st class...

i took a pic from my seat...

and got a bit closer...

yup, its the cockpit.

Anyways, that concludes Japan 2010, hope u all enjoyed the pics! Now...of to reading manga, playing the games, and maybe scanlating Lucky Star Comic a la Carte!
