Example #217: My Little Meganekko

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
This is the Two-hundred-and-seventeenth week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers.
Welcome to the final week in "Meganekkos of the past year" month. Today we'll be looking at the chosen meganekko of the Fall season.
It was hard to find a quality image of her. Not because she's not-outstanding, but more because most of the screencaps of her either had a silly face or were cut off.
Head
Hair: Chizuru has either black or very dark brown hair (it's hard to tell), and it looks a bit stringy. It's also shoulder length, gently touching her shoulders in a flowing manner while the back is a bit rounded (looking at the front, at least). She doesn't have it up all that much (it's short so she shouldn't have to), but we do see her in a ponytail at one point. Probably the "best" point for me is that she has a near-hime cut, as her bangs are pretty blunt but there's not enough hair to cover all the gaps. Another interesting, though not as point-giving, factor is the fact that Chizuru has ears. This should be obvious, but what I mean is that she tucks her hair behind her ears so that they're visible. Some girls have this style when they brush their hair back with their hands, but Chizuru has her hair like that all the time.
Grade: B+
Eyes: As Kaibutsu-kun is a shoujo anime, it makes sense to follow the that type of art style. Because of this, Chizuru's eyes are a bit too "shoujo" for my tastes. They're narrow than other shows which tend to have wider eyes overall. This isn't to say that she isn't cute though, it's just not EXACTLY my tastes. I like the color as well, being more brown than the somewhat confusing hair color (both are great colors though). Her glasses are nice as well, despite being small. In the anime Chizuru's glasses are rectangle-shaped and don't have much of a frame, while the manga (from what I can tell) her glasses are more rounded and have a thicker upper frame. I want to give the manga version more points (especially as I wear the same type), but I'm only going off her anime version as that's the one I became familiar with the series with.
Grade: A-
Face: Again the fact that Kaibutsu-kun is a shoujo rears it's unfavorable head as Chizuru's face isn't as round or soft-looking as I'd like it to be. Not only that, but Chizuru herself looks a bit plain, even in universe. That said, she does have a good sparkly scene at her first appearance as well as having a cute blush (her full face even turns red a few times!). I'm not a big fan of the scratch-like blush style, but it works. Not only that, but Kaibutsu-kun is probably closer to Kimi no Todoke in terms of art style as it allows more freedom with peoples emotions and even the occasional over-emotional chibi at times. I gotta love a show that does things like that.
Grade: B
Body
Build: Chizuru's body isn't that impressive, but she's probably realistically proportioned as opposed to other series. She's a high school student and isn't all that curvy. I suppose that I could use the "it's a shoujo" excuse, but at this point I'm starting to sound like a broken record. Finally, the only measurement we have (that I could find without much trouble) is that she's 165 cm tall.
Grade: C+
Breasts: Chizuru, unlike most girls with that name, is modestly endowed. I don't want to say "flat" as most of the girls in Kaibutsu-kun aren't that busty so in another series she might have been bustier. Still, that doesn't change the fact that she has a small chest.
Grade: C
Clothes: We usually see Chizuru in her school uniform. That said, it is a nice uniform at least. It consists of a white shirt with a blue/black skirt. Occasionally there's a yellow vest that goes over the shirt followed by a red jacket (though that might just be the winter uniform). Still, the best piece is her blue necktie. It really puts the outfit together, making her look better and more dignified. We also see her in a gym uniform at one point, consisting of a white shirt and red bloomers.
Grade: B
Mind
Personality: Chizuru is your basic "Class rep/class president" character. Though she's more in the committee class than a representative. The students also invoked this onto her, voting for her because she has the look. Her glasses are specifically mentioned, so that seems like my kind of class xD.
That said, unlike most class rep-like characters, Chizuru isn't all that outgoing. In fact, she's much more shy and pessimistic than anything. She's even a bit anxious and worries easily. She's the type that doesn't have many friends because she doesn't want to be a bother to them. She feels like she's not worthy as well as not wanting to disappoint them (hence why she went along with being a class rep). To be fair, while she seems timid, she admits that the problem is that she lacks a lot of confidence (not to mention being self-conscious). I personally feel a lot of myself in Chizuru; I'm usually shy and don't want to bother people and have a hard time speaking up for myself. As an added bonus, Chizuru's voice actress is my favorite Kana Hanazawa, which improves an already good character and turns it into a great one. I especially like how, out of frustration, she asks if the male lead has balls xD. Not in the sexual way, more in the figurative way. It was a funny scene and she ran away embarrassed afterward.
Grade: A-
Libido: Chizuru is a secondary lead female. She's not going to be the one who wins (most likely, even if they are a cute couple), but as a adversary to the main female lead (Shizuku) she works well. She first falls in love with Haru (the male lead) when he rescued her from bullies. She likes talking to him, but she doesn't know how to act around him due to her shyness. On the other hand, it's not like he's smart enough to notice her fawning over him, and that's not counting the fact that he does want Shizuku. He even asks Chizuru for advice when he makes Shizuku angry, thus leading me to believe that Chizuru herself is in the friend zone :/.
Grade: B+
Age: Chizuru is a first year student in high school. We don't know her exact age, but it probably wouldn't be too big of a problem for me.
