I am insane. (aka anime rankings)
Due to crippling boredom, I decided to rank every anime I have ever finished, from favorite to least favorite. This was tough as hell, and I don't know that I am completely happy with this list, but creating this got me to think about what I value most in anime, which is nice. A good experience overall. I'm planning on continually revising this list as I complete shows.
A few things to keep in mind:
-- For series with more than one season, I just combined them all into one entry. Example: Minami-ke's ranking takes into account all three seasons of the series. Also, I included OVAs but not movies. That would have made my head hurt way too much.
-- This is by no means meant to be a "best anime ever" list. Do I think Toradora! is the ninth tenth eleventh best series of all time? Hell no. But is it one of my personal favorites? Yes.
-- That said, as long as you are reasonable, feel free to question the logic of my list. If you disagree with something, then call me on it! I like discussion. :)

Aside from Baccano being so low, I approve of this list haha. I think we have pretty similar taste in anime.

Wowz, that's different than mine would be. Goes to show that the 10 point ranking system isn't all that accurate an indicator of how much we enjoy something. Kudos for making that list and putting it out there. This also impresses on me how much I need to watch Utena. XD |

That is basically how I did it, yes. I went through each series in alphabetical order and then made gut calls as to which series I preferred over the others. ("OK, Air is better than Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka, and Asu no Yoichi! is better than Akane-iro, and Baccano! is better than those two but not as good as Air ...")Utena, crazy as it is, has a great, emotional story, and I think its approach to gender identity is just about the most fascinating thing ever. |

I is curious, you just starting thinking about series which you liked over another and that is how you completed this list? I dunno how I would begin to create a list like this and I don't think I'll try. > >;;Utena must have left you with the most amazing experience ever. .____. |
