Fairy tales, folk lore, old school, one episode, made in China, healthy moral. I like both and recommend. I am listing fairy tales.

Fairy tales. In SnO statue is trying to help poor by giving gold. In JSL magical deer is helping by healing. In both no good deed goes unpunished.

Fairy tales. I am making this recommendation so that people can find fairy tales. It is difficult to find them by only searching. Jiu Se Lu is folk lore and has only one episode. Manga Sekai Mukashibanashi has many episodes and they are more like fairy tales. Both are old but have different art styles. I liked both and can highly recommend. Especially I like Jiu Se Lu's moral lecture and showing human nature.

Both "Taro the Dragon Boy" and "A Deer of Nine Colors": - are fine examples of folklore-based animation; - contain a teaching moment; - have nice artstyle and colors; - are quite old yet extremely enjoyable.
