Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story

Taking grounded sports (skateboarding in SK8, golf in Birdie Wing) and exaggerating them to extremes. Both in the athletic feats the characters accomplish and the background surrounding the sport; illegal underground (as in exclusive) courses, tournaments at night, gambling and general seediness. 

Waifus bet everything on the line, even themselves to win competitions and challenges 

The same sports genre anime, with a slice of life in it, where the female MC were bad asses with attitude , who can delivery very well. 

Similar to how Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars) is an over the top parody of cooking and chef competitions, Birdie Wing: Golf Girl's Story is an over the top parody of golfing competitions. Eve, the protagonist of Birdie Wing, is an obscure talent clawing her way into major golf competitions similar to how Souma in Food Wars came from an obscure background to shake the world of fine cooking. Birdie Wings has a cast with quirky characters that would seem at home in Food Wars. Eve's signature golf drive is even named "Chokugeki no Blue Bullet" (Direct Strike Blue Bullet). 

Our main blonde protagonists come from the slums in their own countries, and they try the only way they know to continue with their life, and somehow both of this characters due to their actions get involved with the mafia 

Dreams are what drives people to fight, this also happened to Birdie Wing and Ao Ashi. The main character dreams of becoming one of the best in the world, to achieve this dream they have to compete with other people. Both started with the same premise as unknown players with incredible raw talent and started to develop over time. Even though Birdie Wing chose golf as their sports and Ao Ashi chose soccer, they still have the same feeling about the main character's journey from nobody to become one of the best. 

Both anime are about people aspiring to be a pro golfers..anime about thr sport of golf .. 

Both are over the top sports anime, both have very unconventionally trained overpowered main characters. The only thing Birdy Wing is missing, is the kickass Eurobeat soundtrack. 

Both anime shows feature female competitive sports players (golf and mahjong) and they have these "special talents" that are almost supernatural, and also exclusively their own. Birdie Wing: - Eve has Rainbow Barrett, Aoi has Shining Wing, Kaoruko has In the Zone, etc Saki: - Saki has Rinshan Kaihou, Koromo has Haitei Raoyue, Teru has Mirror, etc 

Despite having different themes, the leading duo has similar characteristics, where there is a girl with blonde hair with a more cheeky personality, and another with dark hair with more temperance. 

Both explore the underground side of sports with betting, gambling and big money involved. While experts in this field, main characters also end up participating in official matches.  

Air Gear and Birdie Wing combines the attitude of battle shounen anime with the framework of sports shounen anime resulting in an sports anime that leans into the over-the-top moments and the exaggerated characters. Air Gear is an incomplete anime so you will need to read the manga if you more of it. Birdie Wing is an anime original so everything that is released is the only material available. Both series will appeal to shounen lovers who are looking for a less traditional sports anime.
