Both OVA's feature conflict among brothers in an apocalyptic society, although the manga for Riki-Oh has better story structure.

Both are recent remakes of older classic anime. Also, they both focus on a manly protagonist, whose goal is to bring peace and freedom.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV) addpermalink

Since Hokuto no Ken was a major influence for the early parts of JoJo, I'd say these anime have a lot of similarities. The character designs and very similar, and there is a lot of action and violence. The stories are also similar, as they both focus on a fight between two brothers: one that is overly ambitious, and the other one who is trying to stop him. Destiny is also a major theme in both series.
