Recommendations

Both are visually great BL movies, the visuals being the main point of interest.

Both are about bl's and the maturing in love and their sad pasts that traumatized him and made him afraid to get close to people or even drive others away. I think if you liked this you might be interested in this since they are similar in some ways

- Both are short, wholesome LGBTQA+ media that anyone (not only those in the community) can enjoy - Smooth and pretty animation - Lovable (and relatable) characters - Both receive my gay stamp of approval

- GAY (Hitorijime has two couples) - The first set of couples[C1] meet in school, then the blondie move back to join high school together - The second set of couples[C2] has a age gap, the younger one feels like he isn't worth it - [C2] The older guy pushes him away just like Shun did to Mio, with the younger guy being young and possessive Plus all of the episodes they made is in both sub and dub

Both are great BL anime with wholesome relationships containing characters that clearly love each other, even if they won't admit it.

Both have the warmly nostalgic setting of a seaside town during the summertime, as well as a generally comfy feel. They deal with relationships - parental love in Kakushigoto and romantic love in E'tranger.

Both are drama/romance movies with somewhat similar setting and a lot of dramatic elements.

The two anime have far different vibes, one being relaxing and the other more manic/comedic. But I will say they are both very frank when it comes to homosexuality and the things that come with it. Both are very enjoyable for that reason.

If you are looking for more BL with sweet romance to watch after this, "Umibe no Etranger," or "Stranger by the Shore," is a must-watch. It is also a drama like "Given," and includes two young men dealing with their past in order to move forward together.
