Synopsis

After the administrative board at TV Nanaana cancels the network's most popular show for "indecency,'' the station's film crew—team leader Nanaoka, cameraman Nanamori, and audio specialist Nanayama—boldly take on the daunting task of documenting the rare animal known as the Kiina to save the company from bankruptcy.

However, they are not the only ones on the hunt; the rival film crew at Bubble TV and their deep-pocketed producer Zakibana have their sights set on obtaining the once-in-a-lifetime story as well. Braving the remote South American jungle of Ecuana, Nanaoka, Nanamori, and Nanayama must travel far and wide to film a nature documentary on the elusive animal before their competition can—because their very jobs depend on it!

As the first person on MAL to favorite this anime, I will always see it as the hidden gem it is.

I found this anime randomly when looking for something to watch for the 2020 Anime Watch Challenge, and I couldn't be happier. The show provides light, unpredictable comedy that works wonders with a brewski. I feel it gives a Robot Chicken kinda vibe with a Japanese take, making it a show I would expect to find on Adult Swim at 2 am.

I don't think you can go wrong with watching these Bananas since each episode is super short, so watch the first 7 episodes and ...

This anime lives up to it's premise in 24 short but sweat episodes. If talking bananas running a Tv show expedition sounds weird to you, that's because it is. The appeal of TV Yarou Nanana is in the outrageous comedy, the endearing low budget style of artwork that makes it feel almost like watching a comic strip, and the fun and memorable characters that work perfectly with both running and new jokes.
I would wholeheartly recommend it for any fans of comedy. As each episode is only three minutes, there is little to lose by giving it a try, but a lot to gain.

TDLR; Follow broke perverts trying to find an rare animal to get their tv company out of bankruptcy. (at least the first season)

The banana's are dry. The only thing good about this show is the use of different elements. Along with the animation they have additions of video, even the video is supposed to be low quality to try to be funny. Humor might be subjective but this show is bland. The shock value from the first episode might have you, or maybe the use of a native tribe pulling viewers in, but once they are told about the low budget of their company ...
