Although I don't see much of a similarity between season 1 of 3d Kanojo and Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai, season 2 seems to be much more similar to it. Both stories follow a young couple who are knowingly nearing the end of their time together. They show how two people are able to help the other change their lives through their originally contrasting lives. You go through a rollercoaster of emotions in both of them, hence why I recommend them.

SPOILERS!! -Both main characters (they also look alike in some aspects) are loners that fall in love with 'popular' girl. -After spending more time to get to know each other, it is revealed that the main girl has a sickness. -Main character has to come to terms with the main girls' illnesses.

- Both Male MC date a girl who's (supposedly) out of their league - Side characters who really highlight and support the MC's (Nana reminds me heavily of Ishino) - Both animes show what it's like to be in a relationship - This is a personal comparison but it 3D Kanojo and Golden time are the only 2 anime that has made me cry of happiness and I don't say that lightly... - There is one last BIG reason why there are similarities but I won't spoil it. #trust

High school romance shows with comedic first seasons but end up being heavier than expected in the second season. Emotional love triangle.

If you’re looking for pure romance and feel good shoujo anime, 3D Kanojo and Kimi Ni Todoke would definitely do the trick. Both anime series starts off having a gloomy and loner MCs (Sawako of Kimi Ni Todoke; Hikari Tsutsui of 3D Kanojo) and soon evolve into better versions of themselves as they go through their high school life - meeting/having friends, establishing romantic relationships with their love interests, and crating memories together.
