The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place annually in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards.

The past winners of the Golden Partridge Award are as follows.

2016: Kimi no Na wa.
2017: Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta
2018: Penguin Highway
2019: Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara
2020: n/a

In 2017, the live action Tokyo Ghoul film had its UK premiere at SLA.

In 2019, Isora Iwakiri's film The Sacrament had its UK premiere at SLA.

In 2020, the festival was hosted online. It also included Penguin Highway, Production I.G.'s short film collection and Weathering With You.

Rules of this list :

- The plot has to revolve around the HITMAN JOB. Being chased by one counts. Better if the Hitman is the main character. It doesn't have to be always the main focus but just having a assassin arc isn't enough.

- No sci-fi, No super-power, No supernatural, No fantasy. It has to be REALISTIC.

- Only pure ACTION, blood, chase scenes, explosions, firefights, crime, revenge, mafia.

- Contemporary period.

- Using GUNS (Some exeptions are made, if the spirit is still close to the other criterias).

- Maximum 2 anime per franchise.

Lupin at it's peak is great but having an installment almost every year since 1971 creates to much filler. In my opinion here are the greats to watch. W.I.P. message me for recommendations 4 me to add as I am sporadically binging the series.

Lupin III is a Japanese media franchise created by Monkey Punch. The series follows the endeavors of master thief Lupin III, grandson of gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, joined by his criminal gang.

Over fifty years after its creation, Lupin III remains popular, with a seventh anime series airing in 2021 and new ONAs released in 2023. Critical reception of the franchise has been largely positive across its various incarnations, with the appeal of the lead characters being noted as the primary factor of the series' success.
