Bang Dream is a Band Anime while Love Live School Idol Project is an Idol Anime. Both shows have a cute ditzy cheerful lead that everyone loves. One loves Bread while the other love Shiny things. Both have pretty cute girl mates and each one refuses to be a part of Band/Idol Group at first due to personal reasons. They have the same vibe and atmosphere and seems that almost no males are shown in their universe. Both are pretty good light hearted Slice of Life shows that deal with pursuing a dream or passion shared by their teammates. Stories about struggles and joy of being an School Idol  read more

If you enjoy D4DJ, you will love BanG Dream. Bushiroad is one of the biggest producers when it comes to rhythm games. Both have their own game as well. The animation is quite similar, the music is beautiful listen to in both. The characters are similar and very lovely.

Both Bocchi the Rock and BanG Dream focus on high school girls who are in bands together, with slice-of-life elements and a great cast of characters. Both shows also have amazing music.

They're both stories of people becoming passionate about music!

After a fateful encounter, the main character gets attracted to the world of music and now is totally obsess with their world's gimmicks (band girls/idols). Main difference between those 2 shows is bang dream is focused on bands of girls (normal bands, not idol groups.. except pastel*palettes), first season being focused only on Poppin'Party, while Love Live! Nijigasaki is focused on solo idols. Both animes are adaptations from their respective "rhythmic" mobile games Also both of them have a Kasumi, i think that's a very important detail

Both features high school girls forming a music group (For Re:Stage! is school idol, for BanG Dream is a band) Both features MCs (Mana and Kasumi) who inspire their groupmate with their passion for performing. Both Anime is rather similar if you like one of them you will definitely like the other.

- Both anime involve music in the story, and the characters in both stories are students who attend an all-girls school - They create some good music for your playlist - Both are showing a relaxing story to fill in the gaps in time

I think if you enjoyed Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku you'll also like BanG Dream! The heroines of these series are extremely similar in both their personalities and their outlooks on life. The animes aren't really deep but the stories they tell are quite interesting. Not focusing on the bigger story but rather main characters relations to other characters. Which is actually really enjoyable as it is not over focused, and makes it easier to watch. The heroines are cheery girls who try to gather a group of girls to form something new. If you like school type anime I recommend you watch them both.

-Both shows talks about music and has taken music seriously -Both of the heart of the band Kasumi (poppin party) Koyuki (Beck), started off with nothing but desire to make music. -Both shows also addressed the life and conflicts of each band members

Both anime tells about the band. How they find members, perform on stage, drama between members, meet other bands and make friends with them. Basically this anime is the same, the only different is gender, age, and extra angst

Cute chicks with guitars but with a scifi story. If you like the pop rock in Bandori, you'll enjoy the same with Show by Rock!
