All Out!!

The primary main characters for both Haikyuu (volleyball) and All Out (rugby) are short/small sized boys that are extremely enthusiastic about the game they are learning to play. Both are looked down for their size and want to show everyone that they are capable of standing face to face with the best, despite being short. If you like watching underdogs learn and strive to be the best with a touch of comedy and drama here and there, then Haikyuu and All Out are perfect for you. 

- Both have a short and really loud MC and all they care about is playing the sport - Sports anime - Quirky characters - The female manager reminds me a lot of Yachi - The ace of the team is tall and scary - Enjoyable matches - Good soundtrack 

Sport anime of the underdogs getting better. you know the one you are a sucker for. i thought main characters were similar as well. the only difference between the two is the sports. duh. what i mean is rugby is a sport where there are a lot of players vs volleyball, a 6 player sport. in all out you will see a lot more characters and it gets to point where you will mix some of them. if you enjoyed one, you will definitely enjoy the other  

Anime simply spectacular, makes you eat the episodes one by one until the end, exciting epísodios one behind the other. 

Both series are nearly mirrored, just with different sports and storylines. MC in this series is short and disregarded as talented due to his size similar to Hinata in Haikyuu! MC has a friend that he wishes to surpass, so he joins the same team when attend the same school. There are many comedic elements that are in similar fashion to Haikyuu! comedic elements (e.g exaggerated facial expressions and body language can be common in both series) Characters seem similar, they have fairly predictable personalities and are comparable to their counterparts in Haikyuu! e.g: coach/managers, characters that mock MC for being small or laugh... etc  

both are sports anime and in both the main characters struggles in the sport they play because of their height, personally I wouldn't be afraid to say All out was probably better than Haikyuu 

Very much alike, both protagonists have the same type of intensity. If you like Hinomaru Zumou you are bound to like All Out! 

Both have main characters that don't look suited to the sports depicted in the anime, which require a lot of physical strength in both. But the characters show grit, determination and talent despite the odds.  

While rugby differs in rules and lacks some protective equipment, there's no denying the similarity between rugby and American football. All Out!! even somewhat makes a jab at this with Ebumi's Hiruma references. Both of these anime have the same basic feel about them, both have similarly memorable characters, the sports are very similar from outside perspective. It's a no-brainer, really. 

Both are great American Football anime . If you are into sports you will like this anime . With steady character and plot development , these are very captivating to watch 

1. Both MCs (Gion and Tsukamoto) are very newbies at first who have no talent. They slowly build it up, assumably becoming great. Tsukamoto stands out to be quite weak, while Gion is strong, but still very small. 2. Both are sports anime, ofc. :) 3. They both have the same thrill.
