In Pretty Rhythm It's "Naru, Ayase" and The Hanayamata has "Sekiya, Naru" Differences: -Hanayamata doesn't have any singing content but the PR:RL have it. -Hanayamata have a Club but Pretty Rhythm Have a Shop auditions (actually, Naru from PR's only work is to be a Manager of a Shop but there's a Prism Dance) -Both Animes dont Have Similarities about the Genres. If you liked the whole "Art turns into magic" thing you will probably like Prism Shows as they both mix performances with fantastic imagery. Also, both have romance, some drama and very colourful art styles.  

The main protagonist is a girl, and she is surrounded with wonderful characters. Both are music themed, and mainly focus on the character pursuing their dreams. The only main difference is that one is about becoming idols while the other is about figure skating. 

They both have singing and dancing. PRRL is about doing figure skating and prism jumps while Aikatsu is about becoming an idol and passing auditions. 

they both have friends that came out an egg. 

-A character that has an idea to forms a group to sing and preform -They both wear costumes when preforming -Both include mostly girl characters  

Both of these are idol anime TV shows that both feature happy and joyful times, but as well as hard and rough times.
