Time traveling, Cellphones, romance, and plotholes

They might seem different but Arata naru Sekai: Mirai-hen and Coppelion both give off a similar vibe with a familiar environment. The main characters in fact hopes to prevent humanity's destruction in a futuristic settings. Additionally, the main characters all possesses special abilities that makes them more unique than others. There is also the theme of science fiction along with emotional factors.

If you're looking for a philosophical, confusing time travel plot, these two stories are alike. For instance, both display some similarities like good soundtrack and animation, the overuse of cellphone theme, romantic hints and again, a future where mankind is almost at extinction. I prefer NG because it develops its characters much better. In both, the plot is not very consistent and leaves you thinking and wondering, but if you appreciated one, you'll surely appreciate the other.

"World's End" / "Arata naru Sekai: Mirai-hen" and "Mou Hitotsu no Mirai wo." are two short anime that each focus on a form of time travel via pseudo-science. Though the tone and atmosphere are very different, the protagonists of both respective works are groups of good friends who do not seek out to do harm.

Both are about a pair of lovers who communicate over insurmountable distances of space-time using their cell phones.

- End of the world anime with cute girls journeying thru a waste land looking for life - Same mood of melancholy in the background, but at the same time a lightness because the main cast in both anime are making the best of it - Both are philosophical in nature, but Girls' Last Tour has more depth and time whereas Arata naru Sekai is very short and has major plotholes

Similar setting where humanity is about to extinct. Human extinction.

-Both try to show the future (thought CK is a near future and Arata naru a future from 600o years from now), the technology or what has happened to the world. -Both are weird, but some how interresting.
