Both involves MC who are into manga. Both also involves an MC who has a rather peculiar attitude. Both have a short duration time. Dissimilarities: One was more of a shojo type while the other was more on ecchi. One anime was more of a gag type of comedy, while the other one was more of an ecchi type of comedy.

The fictional lives of two series' characters are presented in these two hilarious anime series. Well, more than just that they're also involved with the manga industry in terms of creation fictional works related to manga. The characters has little experience but are fascinated by the concept of making manga. As such, they just to pour in various ideas from their heads and create manga that people can enjoy. Mangirl is much of a short anime while Genshiken Nidaime has more of the character relationship development. However, they both have humor if you're looking for some comedy.

Both shows involve cute girls doing research for their viewers -- except one is a short 3 minute per episode show revolving around making a manga and the other is a full 24 minute per episode show revolving around girls giving romantic advice. If you like one I'm sure you'll like the other!

Bot h are short episodic lighthearted comedy slice of life animes with the main focus of to become famous for their each thing. They both struggle quite hardly to achieve their goals, also where lot of their mistakes being about misunderstandings and such. Both have some random comedy into it :)

Cute girls drawing manga and becoming friends, basically and simply. These shows focus not only on cuteness of main mangakas. There is (I suppose) some technical stuff that you can get familiar with and pretend that you know the industry and the workshop. Both anime are kinda fun to watch, at least as an undemanding pastime.

Mangirl! and Ghiblies are about workers having fun, goofing off, and working in their respective jobs. Both shows are very short.

Both series are about a group of young girls and their shenanigans. Both have very short episodes but Mangirl does a better job of fitting more comedy into such a short time frame.

The same group of individuals who wanted to make it big in the manga businesss, except one was more on the serious side, while the other was more on the funny side.

They both have the same "cute" style. Felt the same aura, similar jokes. Also both from the same producer.

The characters are VERY similar but since Mangirl! is a short 13 episode series with only around 3 minutes each episode, it is very fast-paced and there is little progress. The mood Mangirl! gives off is less serious than Seitokai no Ichizon.
