similarity: Both have cutesy concept but yeah. Better watch both of them to fully understand. It also caters social dilemma.
difference: Madoka Magica has obviously a "magical girl" concept, while Oshi no Ko focuses on entertainment industry.

Both series follow a similar structure of presenting themselves as light and generic, before pulling a twist 90 minutes in, taking a darker turn than many of its contemporaries.
