While they are two very different anime at a first glance, both are incredibly similar in characters.
Both share quite a large group of protagonists who go on the same journey to achieve different goals and find themselves, often with relatable backstories along the way. Both crews are known for the chemistry between each other, the constant comedy of each character and "nakama" aspect of friendship that are as close as family, if not more. -Both are super popular in Japan and if we consider One Piece as king of shounen shows, Love Live is king of idol shows
-Both contain groups that grow over time and finally reach 9 members
-Both contain drama
-Luffy and Honoka have similar personalities
-Love Live has many shounen elements (like trying hard and not giving up for your goal, power of friendship among members, etc.) and obviously One Piece has shounen elements too
Very similar group of nine characters. Both anime's characters have relatable backstories and sad moments. The leaders have a very similar personality! Only watch if you like the characters from one.
