Both these anime involve solving supernatural mystery (singular for death note, plural for gosick)
The differences show where the super smart protagonist is male in Death Note but female in Gosick.
Victorique has wierd habits and solves mysteries insanely fast and police often rely on her, just like L. She also only takes cases that interest her, just like L. Also Gosick is told from protagonist point of view, where as Death Note is told from antagonist point of view (mostly)

Both have intelligent detectives, solving mysteries which you will love to watch!
Mysteries! There's a lot of suspense and violence in both of them. They both have a lead character that solves mysteries. L and Victorique. They both like sweets. Coincidence? I think not! :3

Both have an incredible intelligent detective as main character who fights against someone trying to take over the world/country.
In Gosick you can understand how the detective solves the mysteries.

Peculiar detective. Death Note and Gosick give for a character who is a peculiar but extremely smart detective. These detectives also like to stay in their own shell until told otherwise.
DN having L try to find Kira and put an end to his serial killings. Gosick has Victorique taking the odd detective job, going along with Kujo.
Both are good mystery anime showing great detections taking place all throughout the duration. Though DN mainly has mind games, Gosick has a historic setting.
