pretty similar in some of the content of each series. B has more battle-type action, where DN is more exposition.
Both series feature highly intelligent and cunning protagonist as well as antagonist. Both are supernatural.

Death Note, considered by many fans to be one of the best anime of all time, is very similar to Netflix’s B: The Beginning. The series revolves around Light and L, two intelligent young men that go against each other in a battle of wits. Light, an ordinary student by day, takes on the persona of Kira outside of class, a vigilante who kills criminals with a supernatural notebook. As a detective, L becomes Light’s natural enemy. He works tirelessly to uncover Kira’s true identity.

Both are psychological thrillers, though the story is quite different of both titles, still if you loved death note there are much chances that you will love b the beginning too

Both police and psychological anime. Also the protagonists are freaking geniuses.
There is one person responsible for so much chaos and murder. We follow the story through the police's eyes in B but see 2 sides in Death Note. There are good backstories to the characters we come to know.

B: Beginning is an anime based around a boy who was once raised in some type of experiment to gain the advantage to make his arm into a sword or very sharp metal. Art in this anime is extremely nice and recommended to watch with a tad bit of romance to find the one person he promised to save and find. Only to find them in the wrong situation. With the power to have wings, he destined to save the one he loves.
