L no doubt.
Can compete to Light and the ishinigami's without having supernatural powers, using only his brains logically. Now imagine if the opposite were to happen and L got hold of the death note, Light wouldn't stand a chance.

In the bagining I liked Light, but then all of his motives changed, so I saw him as the villain. I perfer L because he is funny and also because he knew that Light was a bad person from the start

As a kid, I liked L for his quirkiness. I never was a fan of Light. Even though I can understand why people would like him, it's not as if his path of ridding the world of evil didn't involve innocent people.
