Wow, okay. The last episode was a total letdown. Very minor plot advancement. So, you might be annoyed by this question but, any chances on season 2? Or is it promotional anime like Masamune-kun no Revenge?

i think no. the original novel series didnt get enough sales boost. the series sold 57920 volumes in october and 35676 in november, not a satisfying score. the blu-ray disc box 1 (01/26 on sell) is estimated to sell about 1000 copies or so, pretty much like a median level in this season.

Edit: according to oricon, the original series sold 22977 volumes in december, and the blu-ray disc box 1 sold 1654 copies.

I don't know about others but I enjoyed the anime as this types of genre anime are my favourite so yes, I want s2..I want more of Nayu&Itsuki

Dude, this is light novel adaptation, a light novel. Which means producers deliberately want to prolong the conclusion as long as possible so that they can cash on consumers.

Also the love that Itsuki has for Nayuta, even if she already knows it, but it would be nice to see them together as a couple

I doubt it’ll get a second season, but if I was rich I’d seriously pitch in half to all of the profits to the creator to help it get a second season, this series actually inspired me to get into light novels and so far I’m enjoying them more than anime, so I honestly feel indebted to the creator for that, plus this is my third favorite anime, right behind Fullmetal and hunter hunter. So id do anything to push for a second season.

I just want to see Miyako as an editor. She finally has something that she can put her heart into!

I also like the characters. They're blunt and pervy but rarely do we see a group of creative-types just chillin' in anime. Off the top of my head I can't think of any other anime characters that would play Sea Turtle Soup or Cat and Chocolate. Has there been TTRPGs in other anime?

Try to support the series by buying the light novel, yen press has released 7 volumes so far and there's tons of developments later on for every characters including even the minor ones, also there is no unnecessary drama either. Gotta love how the author defend isekai genre too in one of the latest volume using haruto's words
