Both deal with Magic and the whole idea of comrades. Once you get into the stories, you'd find the humor quite similar as well.

Magi is like a combination of One Piece and FMA, it takes the best of those two and it's a really great shounen. You have to watch the prequel named Labyrinth of Magic first. FMA shares some rather dark themes with Magi, political and socials.

Both are set in a different, unique and magical world which include super powers, special abilities etc. Both have superb character development and makes it exciting to watch.

These series both have very detailed fantasy worlds that pull you in. They're also the best ongoing shounen manga right now. One piece is still better, it's got a lot more content which helps with character development and world building.

The correlation between these two shows is that there are different nations trying to prosper within both shows. This is done with the help of individuals who have supernatural capabilities. Think magi, without the comedy & light-heartedness. It's just as complex if not more so.

Similar vibe and fantastic art, story lines, action, comedy and character development.

Akame ga Kill! and Magi share a lot of similarities, characters' goal is to erase the corrumption and inegalities in the capitol for Akame and in the world for Magi. Teigu users looks like characters in Magi who possess a Djinn Equipement. Some ennemies of the main character are people who not really bad like some Jaegers peoples or Kou/Magnostad peoples. The real bad guy is an horrible person who manipulates peoples in the Shade (Prime Minister/Leader of Al Thamen)

Both very similar fantasy anime. The tower in TOG draws many parallels with dungeons in Magi. Both also have unique power systems.

Both are about magic. Both have decent music and decent battles. Both are totally worth it and are must watch!

Both have the element of magic and the beginning of SDS starts with the sins in search of their friends, similar to how Aladdin searches for a friend for Ugo by looking for djin metal vessels. Both animes are very adventurous and take place in multiple locations within their own series. There are also elements of political conflict in both.

-There is a lot of politics involved in both animes -Their first openings were performed by SID -They both feature a young protagonist -They both have middle eastern themes, though Magi isn't limited to that (Rome empire, China, etc)

Both consist of most of the characters and countries we've only had sneak peeks at finally appearing and making for 2 amazing war arcs which are both incredible in their own rights. Both have a light tone with certain characters being more dark and brutal than others.

Both animes are well built with a whole new universe. - wars - different cultures very well-formulated - good animation - good battles - politics - use of magic - dystopian - colorful - super strong and objective female protagonist - the protagonist of unknown past

Both are a Shoen Jump that are about saving their worlds with magic and have a solid power system. Magi: The Kingdom of Magic is hidden gem that is a must watch if you like any of the Shoen Jump.

For those craving for more magic and a pretty nice setting. Includes (for a few episodes) a nice magic school also.

MAR and Magi are similar in the idea of using different forms of magic and taking a optimistic approach to facing dark situations from fairy tale stories. Both cast of characters are very alike in having comedic personalities but a lot of depth within their actual backgrounds.

The setting for the two is very similar with the old middle eastern kind of feeling to it. There is no magic in Arslan Senki, but it does not change the fact that its plot is worthy of being compared to Magi. Farangis can talk to djinns like in magi.

Big and bigger enemies, evil hidden organizations and op main character, typical schounen cliches. Setting may look very diffrent, but basics are pretty the same.

Both them have supernatural magic, very charismatic characters, an adventure that has many villains, and a lot of fun.

Both somehow deal with magic and are very enjoyable. They also have kind of similar characters so as if you enjoyed Magi, you shall try Arcana Famiglia(AF). AF has much better made music and it will draw you in in a few episodes.

The protagonists of both stories are cheerful and curious kid characters, who like to explore the world and expand their knowledge. Both are on a journey full of adventures, during which they get in a city with similar layout and social structure, but due to different reasons. The protagonist's are both held in high esteem by the city's leaders, who have questionable morals. Because of that, their relations to the protagonists do not quite proceed in the most amicable way... In both titles, situations and characters share some similarities. However, the reasons that led the characters to be what they are and the situations to occur  read more

We must all divide in order to grow stronger and protect the things we cherish. Even with our childish personality, we shall destroy all those who bring harm to our friends. Our women are the strongest out there and they will dominate the competition. The affairs of other countries have nothing to do with us, until we suck them into our own personal problems. Our powers are feared and must be hidden so that we can minimize damage and save ourselves. Even if we destroy the people around us, we will grow strong enough to stop ourselves and our enemies.
