Completed on 2024, April 30th, Tuesday, 12:12AM. This was fire. I think it differs from the original LN though. Still fire though. Enjoyed everything I've seen. I genuinely thought this was going to be one of those discontinued manga where I wouldn't be able to know what happens at the end. I'm so glad I was wrong though.

As I said, it differs from the LN, as from what I've read from someone spoiling it a bit, Noriko was actually mind-controlled by Kido who "luckily" (probably an act of that shitty god) unlocked the mage class a few days before the sacrificial ritual.

All that to say, this manga is definitely among my top 10. Everything was just so grim yet so realistic, and that's something that's pretty hard to create, especially in a fantasy setting. I'm sad Mia couldn't be revived, but I guess that's just how life is. I'd have been happy if they ended up together after she had gotten revived though.

I didn't verify if it was actually posted, but oh well, I put it on here as well just in case. I know I'm repeating myself, but I still feel bad Mia wasn't revived, and we didn't get to see Junpei reunite with Libelt. At least, his daughter's name was thought after Junpei's, but still. Overall, an awesome read. I can't remember the last time I've typed this much just for a single manga. It just shows how much it affected me. The chapters didn't feel long and boring at all, like they often do with other series. I'm so glad I discovered this work of art. Definitely, again, in my top 10 manga, if not in my top 5. Maybe even in my top 3, heck, I wouldn't be surprised if it were to become my number 1. That's just how good it is. Anyways, if you're reading this, whether it's me from the future or someone else that simply stumbles upon this long comment and actually reaches the end (unless you just skipped through, wouldn't blame you for that honestly), go read it. Adding a note almost a year after I read this, but I'm just so emotional after reading dungeon seeker (another 10 scorer in my list), that I just had to come back to this just to add a note saying how good I remember it to be. Definitely in my top as well (read dungeon seeker note for context). I remember being sad about it finishing on an ambiguous note though. I think the novel didn't end where the manhwa did, and actually finished things up, or at least continued on with the story. Anyways, I loved this as well. Anyways, I have to stop writing now, or I'll literally write a 600 pages long essay. Anyways, bye.

the best fucking protagonist behavior i've ever seen, that's what i'm looking for in a manga. This manga:
- has the best protagonist I've ever seen;
- actually ends and isn't just on hiatus;
- has wholesome romance mixed with dealing with past trauma.

I particularly love this manga because everything was more or less how I personally would want it to be. Amazing author, amazing art too. I adore this work. I could even worship it.
